Great location! Clean and quiet after 11PM. They monitor people coming and going to keep out unwanted guests. They have a shuttle to and from downtown Sturgis that runs until early morning hours. They pick up trash twice a day if you leave it out for them. It is a great place to stay with a group of friends with RVs. You can get spaces beside each other. We enjoyed staying here.
Pretty good experience, overall..... Nice retreat from town.... Gate people during the mornings/days were great and friendly, however the night crew seemed a bit over the top on the Barney Fife routine
Wonderful area, beautiful scenery, and the staff here are amazing. All very helpful, friendly, and willing to crack a joke and have fun. Bartenders for the pool are awesome, and the food vending during the Black Hills Rally is SO WORTH IT. Only downsides are that some of the cabins lack windows, there is almost no shade for the field where campers are, and there should be an additional shower for those cabins and campers. Seems like a lot of complaints for four stars, but it's more like constructive criticism 🤷♀️
Words can't describe how nice this place is!! View is breathtaking! Every single person who works or is staying here are the friendliest I ever met at any campgrounds. Especially Sherry!! Also the cleanest. Wish they had Steel Pony's in every State. Thank you so much Steel Pony for making my vacation so awesome!! Will definitely be back!
We spent 5 nights at Steel Pony during the Sturgis Rally in a premium cabin. This is one of the best trips I have had to the Sturgis Rally, been there over 20 times. Most of those trips I spent in a tent. The people at Steel Pony were all fantastic, friendly, helpful, and made you feel right at home. The premium cabin was clean and has a bathroom, the camp has a great location, the shuttle service was quick and went wherever you wanted to go. The team at the ride-in bar and the live music were awesome. We made a great choice coming here. See you next year!
