“The beautiful ones are the most treacherous.” Usually when you hear this, you may think of a woman. But keep that in mind here if you drive on the shoreline. When I got stuck, it took four methods and 40 minutes to get out—determined not to call a tow truck. Holy cow, between watching the fish jump in the lake, the warming sun rise, and the cooling sun sink, the breeze blowing gently or with unforgiving force, this is my new favorite camping spot! So much wildlife it’ll make you tear up and forget you have anywhere else to go. Fish that literally leap out of the water with twists before falling back beneath the surface, birds conducting eye-catching mating rituals, and amazing shorelines for a moment or two of solace for meditation. If heaven is any prettier, I’m packing my bags.
Great view of lake. You can camp as close as you want to lake. Free campground. Need a fire permit. U can get it online. No electricity or water or hook ups. Outhouse. It's windy. Mini mosquitos at night. You can swim. Overall very relaxing hearing mini lake waves.
Absolutely stunning location to park your RV or campervan. Big and quiet open space next to a picture perfect lake. Not to stay multiple days, but ideal for a relaxing afternoon. One downside: the really filthy vault toilet. Best to have your own toilet with you.
Great campground! Very relaxing and beautiful! Come during the week because on the weekends it gets supper packed! They now have a trash can!!
make sure to bring mousetraps! no specific sites
Not accessible for RVs or anything much larger than a small SUV. Our Kia Soul barely made it through the cattle grate at the entrance, it has an immediate drop off from there and then the road gets a little flatter, but immediately turns into a trench style rough dirt road.
