We have an an amazing experience at stokesville campground this pass weekend January 31 through February 2ed! The workers there Carl and Linda are absolutely best! Made us feel so welcome and loved in so many ways. They definitely made the weekend feel like home! They are there when you need absolutely anything. The place is absolutely beautiful and so clean and so well family organized! There so much room in your camping space. They sell wood for a great price and have a cute family store right next to it that so friendly and everything it was cheep. Definitely can’t wait to visit again!
We loved this campground!!! The best part are the camp hosts/property managers! As soon as we arrived, they greeted us with big smiles and lots of helpful information! Our campsite ended up not being the right fit for us for the weekend (we have a dog who can be a bit of a jerk around other dogs) And they went out of their way to accommodate us. They found us the best campsite, and we had the most relaxing weekend! There are tons of trails for biking and hiking, and there’s a gorgeous swimming hole at the bottom of the hill. This is a hidden gem in the Valley for sure. We will be back!
My husband and I along with some friends stayed for a weekend to mountain bike. There are a ton of great trails right out of the campsite. The bath houses were extremely clean and pleasant. The hot showers were amazing! The two caretakers, Carl and Linda, were very welcoming and gave us a lot of great information. Two of our friends stayed in tent sites and we stayed in the lower cabin. The cabin was clean and had a cute little porch. It rained a good portion of our trip, so we and our friends congregated on the porch for meals. We will definitely be back.
We love coming here! The stokesville race weekend is popular with the mountain biking teams. Not all Sites have picnic tables so be sure to view the menu when choosing your site. The owners are super friendly. Wood bundles were $7 each. Steep inclines for cars so make sure you have an SUV or something with four-wheel drive
We absolutely LOVED our stay! Beautiful grounds. We stayed in the upper cabin and had no one near us so all the privacy in the world. The lower areas with campers was definitely the more social area, so depending on what kind of experience you want there is a location for you! Our cabin was perfect. Bed was comfortable, the space heater had us sweating with 30• outside. Bathhouse was super clean, checkin a breeze and super friendly. We explored all over and went to see the natural chimneys. Can not wait to come back!
