Wonderful place to camp. First night on a Thursday before Memorial day weekend wasn't busy at all! The next night we had neighbors, however sites are spaced out pretty good! River in the background was beautiful! Was able to fit our truck and camper in the spot with no problems. Gravel pad. No hookups. Water was available but we never needed it since we filled up prior. Also had a generator that is super quiet so wouldn't bother neighbors. Watched rafters float down. Saw humming birds outside the dining room window. Saw deer come down the side of the mountain across the river! Super cool!!! Would book here again in a heartbeat! Camp host is not on-site but met her and super friendly. No dumping station, closest one was in town. Space was clean, had a bear proof dry food storage bin that is awesome for campers. Pack in and pack out and leave no trace. Don't forget to pull your garbage inside before you call it a night. Had a fire pit but we didn't use it since we brought our own propane one. Cold at night but nice during the day here at the end of May. River was too high to cast a line. Only time we heard our neighbors was when their kids were screaming lol. Great place to camp! Our rig totals 40ft, truck at 19ft and travel trailer at 21' but 23' with tongue. Easy accessible to back into, just watch when you back it in that the truck doesn't hit that ditch area or a rock when turning to back it in, pay attention on that drivers side or you'll have a bad day at site 1. Also had River access not far away, a lil pathway. Will be returning!
Great little USFS campground on the Cache la Poudre River! Nice river beach for the kids and fishing is OK too.
Sept '23. Campsite was clean, and close to the river, pretty. Too close to the road though, cars headlights would beam me in the eyes as I'm trying to sleep, maybe plant some trees there Forest Service. Every site has a bear box. Not the campgrounds fault, but camper etiquette was mediocre. Don't go if allergic to bees
It's right on the river and only has 8 spots so it's very quiet. Beautiful and Serene.
Beautiful spot on the river! A little too close to the road but worth reserving a spot!
