This is a nice campground. It is pretty large and there will certainly be a lot of other people there. The campsites on the back end are right next to each other. There is a really nice general store, restaurant, and small hotel across the road. The surrounding scenery is real nice and the site is in a good location. This place would also be good if you have a camper-- there is a pretty large lot. If you are looking for a quiet place this might not be it. But, if you are not too picky and don't mind others this place is good. There is running water and flushing toilets that are a short walk away.

The campground in Stovepipe Wells Village is a great stop when driving through Death Valley. The campground is located behind the general store. The space is wide open so don’t expect any shade. the beauty of camping here? It provides you a great view of the stars in the night sky. The campground provides plenty of hook ups for RVs. However, I did not see any area that was for tents only. It looks like the campers using tents only would be next to the campers in RVs? If so, it might get a bit loud from the generators running overnight? I did not have the opportunity to check out the restrooms on the campground. However the restrooms at the back of the general store were very clean on this Thursday evening in February 2021. See photo. Kudos to the operating team for maintaining those restrooms well.

Only 2 stalls in the men's bathroom for 190 camp sites, close to the main road, noise daily from fighter jets right over head and no trees at all and I would give it 6 stars if I could! Why?? It is walking distance from Mosaic Canyon which may be the most beautiful canyon on the planet. Also, the general store is well stocked with reasonable prices, hot showers and a restaurant across the street and centrally located for many other breathtaking canyon hikes near by.

I would stay here again. Not the most scenic area but there are nice restroom facilities and it is a short walk to the General Store and Restaurant. The large, flat area can hold a lot of campers so you should be able to find a spot at any time. This is a nice place to stay when visiting the Northern part of Death Valley Nat’l Park or when leaving the next morning as it is close to the entrance heading toward the Sierras. It is located about a half hour or so from Furnace Creek and the Visitors Center.

A beautiful spot for a night under the stars. I was here right before they closed for the season, so it was not busy. I enjoyed having the bathroom facilities here. I might try to stay at Emigrant Campground next time. However, this is there and safe and that is good to know! And it has restroom facilities... (Emigrant Camp does not)
