Customer Reviews
Great access to the river, had fun kayaking and fishing. The sites are clean, small, and separated. We went in the middle of the week and were all alone except for one other person. It's only about $10/night, which is a plus. The well didn't work without screeching very loudly but luckily we brought our own water in gallon containers. The roads are a little rough but while we were there some crews were working on them. This is a city park technically, so all checks are payable to the township and there are no reservations for the campsites. There is a lot to explore, I'd especially recommend the falls located down the river about a mile from the sites (I believe they were called 'Pemenee Falls'). We saw a good amount of wildlife, including deer, fish, eagles, nighthawks, bats, a bobcat, and grouse. Fishing was decent, I got about 4 smallies between 14-15" plus I lost a large northern as well. Overall very relaxing off the radar campsite, I'm glad we found it. I can't wait to go back to the UP someday
