It was quiet while I was here. Nice spots for tent camping or a small camper, beautiful views of the lake. Vault toilets were the cleanest I have seen in LBL.

Scored a beautiful campsite with my dog at Sugar Bay during our big road trip together and it was incredibly beautiful. The misty lake views in the morning were hard to beat. We also did a 3 mile walk on the section of the North/South trail before continuing our journeys and it was perfect. Would definitely love to come back and explore more of the Land Between the Lakes someday!

We had a blast. The drive in off the main road is long and just gravel. We stayed a little back from the water but it was still a short, easy walk. We had a blast fishing, swimming, walking around, and just playing in our camping space. Our space had a picnic table and a fire pit already there. The ticks and mosquitoes here were horrendous. The bug spray and bands we had did little to help. The wildlife here made my kid's trip! They loved the frogs, butterflies, fish, squirrels, etc. We also went to the Bison preserve and drove around twice to see them. We then stopped at the animal center and saw all the wildlife they had there. Both of these were only a few miles away. Our dogs went everywhere with us. The animal center even had kennels to put them in while you visited! We loved our trip!

Nice spot to get away from it all.. camping, boating, fishing. My only complaint is a huge rut near the boat ramp. The bathroom was very clean. The water may be a little shallow during the cold season. Still a 5 star spot.

Campsites are primitive no water or electricity. Vault toilet , sites are spread out from each other. Picnic tables and fire ring. Ten dollars a night or 5 senior with pass. Sites are uneven only one by the lake.
