I am so glad we chose this camp for our first “glamping” trip! Right by the river, in a stunning setting, the camp is quiet and extremely well kept. We stayed in two brand new, enormous glamping tents. The beds were incredibly comfy, and the lamps with USB ports were a touch of luxury. The glamping tents include heaters, so I believe it would be pleasant to visit in the cooler months. No warm showers, but that did not bother us as we could rinse off in the outdoor shower. The owners thought of everything—they even provided carts to transport your stuff to the site. The camp hosts were warm and friendly, and we spent the evening chatting with them by the fire. We highly recommend this camp and will be back for sure!
We recently stayed at Sullivan's Camp Cacapon and were truly impressed by the experience. The campsite is extremely well-maintained and offers a great mix of nature and comfort. We appreciated the cleanliness of the camp and the friendly owners who greeted us upon our arrival and even took us on an ATV ride down the river! Waking down to the Cacapon River was a highlight, providing a peaceful and refreshing start and end to each day. It's an ideal spot for anyone looking to escape day-to-day life and enjoy some quality time outdoors. We highly recommend for both new and seasoned campers!
This private campground was amazing. It is small and there are no crowds and the few RV sites there are removed from the tent areas and not even visible. We had two riverfront sites. They were shady and well maintained. The bathroom was immaculately clean and modern. The river was clean and refreshing and we swam for hours right out of our campsites. we brought our canoe and launched right next to our campsite. The kids fished, ran around, rafted, and swam and had the best weekend of their summer. And so did our dog! Thank you Mark for your hard work and dedication. You have created a beautiful place for us to enjoy nature.
This is a great private campground. We booked a tent site for two nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There are only a handful of sites, so it was quiet and it felt like we had the property to ourselves. The bathhouse is clean and nice. No warm showers, but that didn't impact our stay. We were happy to rinse off in the gorgeous river right along the property! We will absolutely be back.
An Unforgettable Stay As a large group of avid campers with years of experience exploring the best campgrounds along the East Coast, we are thrilled to share our exceptional experience. This place has easily secured a spot among our all-time favorites. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly gracious host. Their friendliness and genuine hospitality set the tone for our stay. The campground itself is well-maintained, spacious, and beautifully situated, offering a perfect blend of nature and convenience. The amenities at Campground were top-notch. Clean and well-equipped facilities made our stay comfortable and stress-free. We particularly appreciated the ample space for our large group, allowing everyone to spread out and enjoy the surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was watching a sports game online. Inevitably, our excitement got the better of us, and we became a bit noisy. The owner approached us with kindness and understanding, gently reminding us to be mindful of other campers. This thoughtful approach to maintaining a peaceful environment was much appreciated and speaks volumes about the campground's commitment to all guests' enjoyment. In summary, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the excellent amenities to the welcoming host, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. We highly recommend this campground to fellow campers and look forward to our next visit! Pros: - Friendly and accommodating host - Clean and well-maintained facilities - Spacious sites perfect for large groups - Beautiful and convenient location
Good vibe and marvelous view. Cabins are lovely and clean. The host (sexy debonair owner) and his beautiful wife are very accommodating and make you feel like you’re part of the family. Sullivan’s camp is a tranquil and peaceful place one wants to escape to, away from the busy world. It’s the “Scotland” of America. I will definitely come back and this time with my whole family ! The kayak activity in the river is my favourite and will soon share this experience with my son when I come back from Dubai. My son will definitely love this magical place full of warmth, laughter and love…….
What a hidden gem. This is an amazing family-owned campground on one of the most beautiful rivers in the country! The owners are very welcoming and helpful - it doesn’t take long to realize this campground is a labor of love for them. Caught some sunfish, kayaked, and relaxed by the huge camp fire. The RV spot has full hook-ups and is large and level - I didn’t need to level our RV after parking. There are quaint cabins, tent sites, and very cool looking “glamping tents” that looked incredible. We love this campground and will be back!!!
Tent camped here with my wife and 2 dogs for one very rainy night in early May but absolutely LOVED our stay! Top reasons to choose to stay here would be the immaculate bathrooms (with awesome sink for dishes) and well l set-up campsites with great footprints and fire pits. Beautiful, serene location and look forward to coming back again as we are able to. They had thorough instructions for check-in and check-out which I appreciated as a person who likes things organized.
Hands down one of the best camping experiences I have had in a really long time. I love family owned businesses and I found a goldmine. Immediately follow them and book ASAP. We stopped at the bathhouses in Berkeley Springs and then lazied our way in. The process has been flawless. The owner texted me the day after my booking and asked me to look over three PDF packets carefully. Every question I had was answered in the email, there was a map for offline use(no cell service), and they gave us same day weather and bug updates. 120% recommend. These pictures don’t even do it justice. You just have to be here.
