We stayed in a cottage at Sun outdoors Chesapeake Bay and everything was fantastic!!! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The camp store was great and stocked with plenty of things that's easy to forget while camping. Making it easy to grab and reasonably priced. We normally are not pool people. But quickly became pool people and went to the pool every day because the pool and splash pad were so nice. Only negatives I can think of which are completely out of Sun Outdoors control were the cell service was spotty but not terrible. The beach was fantastic but muddy bottomed. Again both of these issues are not in their control and is completely fine honestly. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. But honestly you should see it for yourself. Mrs Cheryl is extra sweet so say hi to her if you see her. Can't wait to come back next season!!
Great camping experience every time we come! We have stayed in the cottages, safari tents, rental RV, and several different RV sites with our own rig over the years. Nice family atmosphere and well kept. We will be back! And the crab fries are the best :)
First time visiting in July! Perfect campground, location and amenities! Far enough away from the hustle of Chincoteague Island but close enough to go into town daily. Loved the private beach. The hammocks were amazing. Pool and splash pad was perfect to wind down. Sunsets on the private beach were 💯 will definitely come back!
My favorite memory of this year's camping season. My husband, Joe Truitt & I hosted a kids fishing tournament (over 60 kids!!) and then escorted "Jack Sparrow" by boat and our pirate crew to the beach for a Treasure Hunt.
We love coming to sun outdoors cape Charles which yours to be Cherrystone. We come to Sun outdoors usually every Memorial Day weekend plus we book end of July for 9 days weekend to weekend. It’s a family vacation my bother and sisters books down there to same time as we do. Then we usually go down for a October weekend for Scarystone. We have so much fun d as md vacation relaxation. So if I win there is we’re I’m going to Sun Outdoors CapeCharles we love it there. My son is now 13 1/2 years old and he has been going since he was 3 weeks old.
