- "We’ve stayed here for years and always enjoyed the serene environment. However, the recent price increases and additional fees were unexpected and disappointing."
- "The location is great, but we decided to stay elsewhere due to the early arrival fee and lack of resort-like amenities."
Despite these concerns, Sun Outdoors Coos Bay remains a popular choice for those seeking a convenient and scenic spot to stay. We are open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and our friendly staff is always ready to assist you. For reservations or inquiries, feel free to contact us directly by phone.

Customer Reviews
We have stayed at this campground for numerous years and have always been satisfied until it was taken over by Sun Outdoors. I am not a fan of reviews, however, I am doing this one for others to consider. This year, 2024, we again reserved a spot but noticed the prices were raised substantially. Shrugging this off we attributed it to rising expenses like most everything else these days. In the past we would call and reserve a spot for our stay. The park would check availability and put us down for the dates requested. This year Sun Outdoors added a Lock In fee of $40.00. This fee is to quarantine our spot on the dates requested. I guess reserving the dates as in the pass is no longer sufficient. This is confusing to me as I have always believed a reservation was just that without added fees. In addition there was also a resort fee of $10.00 per day. We have stayed at other RV parks with a resort fee and did not mind paying it as they were rather plush with numerous added amenities such as a swimming pool, hot tub, an exercise room with all the equipment, and very spacious sites to name a few. We did not see any of this and were very disappointed at having to pay a “resort fee” for no apparent or obvious improvements. Due to the above increases in costs we will no longer be staying at one of our favorite parks.
This place is probably okay. We ended up not staying here because when we arrived early and were going to be charged $30.00 for an early arrival fee, we left and looked around and found a much nicer RV Park with great views of the water, an indoor pool, exercise room and great wifi for less money and no extra fees. So we ended up staying elsewhere.
We have stayed here for years. Each year it gets more expensive. If you check in one minute ahead of the check in time you get charged 30$. This time we have to pay 60$ that includes water, sewer, garbage and WIFI. WIFI IS SPOTTY. 1ST never had to pay these fees before. 2. NOT a resort no pool or hot tub 3. All sites are gravel not paved 4. The landscaping is badly neglected 5. All the other sun outdoors "resorts " look like a resort and would warrant the prices. This park does not reflect a resort The prices are subject to change and unless you pay a fee to reserve a specific site they can put you where they want you. Sorry to say after many years we may not be back. I got a response from the"owner" basically said prices are difficult for everyone food, gas, and more. And thanked me for " enjoying my time" check back for offers to stay another time. Not a comment on my concerns about the condition of the park.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sun Outdoors Coo's Bay. The grounds are are nicely maintained, and the bathroom and laundry facilities were clean. This is the first campground that I have ever seen a groundskeeper clean sites and picnic tables after a guest leaves. There is a nice game room that is open during office hours, and the little store inside the office was nicely stocked with a lot of items that are often forgotten and needed. The very best thing though... the beautiful beach access!!
Great beach access. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Tight spacing but nice atmosphere. Like the amenities. Recommend!
