Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor Introduce

Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor, located at 9515 Burnham Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA, and reachable at (253) 858-8138 or +1 253-858-8138, provides RV park services for travelers. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, it offers various amenities and services for RV enthusiasts.

Based on customer feedback, Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor is generally considered a clean and well-maintained park. Guests have particularly praised the laundry facilities, noting them as being exceptionally well-equipped. The park is described as offering a pleasant and comfortable stay, with helpful staff.

Specifically, Hannah from the office has been mentioned for providing excellent customer service and going out of her way to ensure guests have a positive experience.

However, some guests have raised concerns about the accessibility of the bathroom facilities. Despite recent updates, the bathrooms lack handicap access stalls or grab bars, which has been a point of criticism. Some guests feel that given the higher cost of staying at this park, handicap accessibility should have been a priority during the remodeling. While there are future plans to add more accessible facilities, the current lack of accessibility has impacted some guests' overall satisfaction.

In summary, Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor offers a clean and well-serviced RV park experience with notable laundry facilities and helpful staff. However, potential guests who require handicap accessibility should be aware of the current limitations in the bathroom facilities.

This place was really awesome. We stayed for a few months and couldn't have been happier with the space, service and amenities. Laundry here is awesome; one of the best I've seen. I'll be keeping an eye out for more Sun Outdoors.

Although more expensive than we usually pay, this place was clean and nice. Hannah from the office was very helpful, She went out of her way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. However, they said the bathrooms had been updated about a year ago, and there were NO HANDICAP ACCESS stalls. They said there are plans down the line to bulid more. But if you update an existing building, why not at least put in a grab bar or two, and enlarge one of the stalls? I was surprised by this since the cost to stay is so high. They should have put a handicap stall in as part of the remodel. This made me drop my review down to a 3 star. You can do better Sun Outdoor.

Staff was very good. Lovely setting. Generall quiet except for the shooting range nearby. People should be told to turn off their outside lights when they go to bed. Made the outdoor experience much less enjoyable. Way too pricey for the amenities you get. "Clubhouse" was pretty baren. No playground for young ones etc.

If you want to be at an RV park that overcharges you for what they have to offer, this is the place. It was noisy because there is a (gun) practice range next door and the constant sound of the highway that's close by. I could get over that if they would not charge a $15 a day resort fee. This is not a resort. I have stayed and some very nice RV parks and they really were Resorts and didn't charge a $15 a day fee. We thought we had found a deal but when we signed the paperwork we saw $15 a day on top of what we're paying. For that it has to be a resort. Too late to cancel our booking. We stayed a week. Do the math. I personally am upset about this!! To justify that fee there should be at least a pool, maybe some other things but it doesn't have any of that. It has a small laundry room and a place to sit by the bathrooms. Right now they have a lot of work going on so using the showers is kind of creepy. Because their workers there outside. The showers are fine and roomy. There is only one set of showers for the men and one set of showers for the women and one set of bathrooms for the men and one set of bathrooms for the women. That would be fine except for that is for the whole park. There are no secondary set of bathrooms for the RVs up on the hill. For some of us with a bit of walking issues this is not okay. If they are going to renovate, I suggest putting a set of bathrooms and showers on the hill at the top. Overall we were disappointed. Find another place to stay if you want to more resort-like experience. This is not. There were a lot of dog lovers there. If you have a dog maybe you'd want to try this place out. But I understand that you were going to pay a $15 a day Resort fee for a place that is not a resort. I would live that money back.

What is offered is not commensurate with the price. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful and we thank them!! but the bathrooms need a thorough top-to-bottom cleaning and then regular maintenance. I don’t think the sinks were cleaned nor the counter or floors attended to during the week we were there. The bathrooms also are not accessible, nor at least set up for those with limited mobility like seniors. Suggestions: eliminate the large step up into the shower or instal grab bars to help. Put in hand-held shower heads or lower the height of the shower heads. Install benches for the showers for those who don’t have the ability to balance on one foot anymore. These are all ADA requirements and are being completely overlooked here. The laundry room also needs a good cleaning. And beware, the W/D are not set up so that you can feed coins to get a bit of additional drying time. If your clothes are not dry at the end of the cycle, your only option is to pay for an entire second cycle. The common area could also use some new furniture and decor. Folding chairs and second hand furniture are certainly useable but don’t give a resort feel or appearance. These areas have so much potential to wow your guests. Also there is a nearby gun range so it often sounded like a war zone. This is not within the control of the park, but it should factor in the price as your overall experience will be impacted. Nice setups for hooking up. Nice roads within the park and sites nicely gravelled. They were painting the main building while we were there, so it appears that improvements are being made. Cleanliness needs to be added to the list, however, and the cost needs a re-look. We would likely make another choice if passing through again. Thank you and hope the comments are taken in the spirit of honest helpfulness.
