Very friendly staff and a well maintained, fairly priced campground in the middle of Moab. Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are walkable. Our site was nice and private, due to a wooden fence. We had a fire pit and a shaded bench and table. Be aware that the trash bins are getting emptied in the morning at around 6 am. The restrooms are clean, women more than men. We would come back for sure!
We had tent camping spots here with some friends. We spent a week here and loved that it was so close to everything downtown. The bathrooms needed a little loving, but the maintenance staff went above and beyond to take care of it. And when my car battery died, maintenance promptly came to the rescue with a battery charger. Great staff all around. Beautiful campground!
This October we spent 9 days at Sun Outdoors Moab downtown. We have stayed there a few times over the last 12 years. Sorry to say it needs attention, the 5 mph speed limit is constantly ignored causing clouds of dust throughout the sites. There was an electrical problem in one of the center rv rows that blew out a couple of circuit boards , the underground irrigation was on constantly at our site causing mud issues until I capped it off The park generally needs work and a few dollars spent in upkeep . Having said that , the staff is great and the park is ideally located in Moab … a great area to stay and play !
We stayed here one night to take care of necessities after being off the grid for four days. We were disappointed. The three showers we took were not hot and borderline cold. For a same day reservation, we were given a site close to three other campers, and the park was practically empty. The propane fill was broken even though I was told by main reservations that all servvices were available. The laundry room was not clean and many of the washers and dryers were "out of order." The campground is tired but the surface treatments like new signs and cabins make it look like it is in better shape than it really is. It served our needs but we will not stay here again.
Stayed for three nights in a truck camper. Pros: very nice clean, well maintained site. Our space (#8) had good shade which was very welcome. Hookups all functional. Great to have onsite shop/gas station with very nice and friendly staff. Location is excellent - nice brewery across the street plus cinema and a BBQ place; 15-20 mins brisk walk to other restaurants, cafes and shops. Great running options around Moab itself. Nice to be able to put up a hammock on our site using available mature tree as one anchor point. Good laundry with cheap detergent. Price was fairly good value. Cons: pool was pretty cold and even on a hot day was not super comfortable, also quite small (which we knew before we booked), sites are very tightly packed which makes privacy difficult. Checking in at 18.45 but office was closed; however welcome pack was straightforwardly accessed. Didn’t see any office staff the whole time we stayed so were glad to be able to ask shop staff for recommendations and advice.
