Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore

We love coming to Sun Outdoors. The atmosphere is always relaxing & fun. The front office staff is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We booked last minute, had someone back out of a spot next to our group, and Devin was able to swap our spot to an open campsite so we could be with our friends. This weekend was extraordinary with the Halloween activities. Our 27 year old autistic son loves Halloween & dressing up. Not one person bat an eye at out grown man trick or treating.

It was the camping trip I never knew I needed! It was such an escape and so close to home! It was so clean. The staff was so kind, caring, and very accommodating. The lazy river and adult pool were my favorites. The kids pool was also great. There was so many events and activities for the kids, which left some relaxing time for us as parents. We all had such a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!

Great spot. They have pickenall courts pools and a lazy river along with a grill and mini golf course. This place is pet friendly and has a dog park. Overall no complaints or issues with anything.

We live full time in a 45’ coach traveling all over the United States Every fall We look forward to our visit at SUN OUTDOORS NEW ORLEANS. Large clean pads / great great great service (Tony the assistant manager is a key key employee always working hard to accommodate everyone) Superior amenities with 2 huge pools a lake, rental cabins, bar ,on site restaurant, sonic restaurant at entrance, convenient gas station. A lazy river and an out door theatre. Putt putt golf , volleyball and pickleball courts. Very clean and extremely well managed property. We are considering a full 6 month stay next year and will always have a reservation for at least 5 weeks during Halloween….. when I tell you they go all out for families during Halloween I mean they go all out. I like the camp ground but they are definitely on the expensive side of things. I would have given a 5-star review, but I'm not for 2 reasons. 1- The items within the camp ground food,drinks, etc, are overpriced, and 2- my kids were very excited about the arcade, and frankly, it was a disappointment. Everything cost to play, the machines take your money, don't work and they won't refund it. At the price of the campsites, they could definitely provide some cheaper drinks and a free arcade game or 2 for the kids.
