I have thoroughly enjoyed my three weeks here, and my family will be staying for three months. The views are beautiful, and the community is friendly, making it a lovely place to be. There is some air traffic and occasional racing on the main road early in the morning, which is common for a city location. Despite these factors, I have had no negative experiences. I do want to mention that there are homeless encampments nearby. While they are located away from the resort, I have observed some unsavory activities and sounds. This is not a reflection on the establishment or its staff, who have been excellent. I recognize that homelessness is a complex issue that has persisted for many years, and I hope for solutions to support those in need. Lastly, the bike trails are fantastic! Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts.
This place is great! The amenities are fairly new, well maintained and kept clean. Activity crew were our favorite, our kids loved the activities and the fun interactions. Maintenance crew were always helpful and kept the grounds nice. The sites are concrete and a good size. Front desk were accommodating polite, and friendly. We will be back ❤️
Definitely the best of the best when it comes to urban RVing!! A beautifully located and well designed RV resort with all the amenities and trimmings. Large sites, level concrete pads with furniture provided to relax and enjoy the San Diego weather. Beautiful outlook to San Diego bay which can be enjoyed from the deck of the club house, and located right next to some great bikeways and walking paths. The city is in the final stages of finishing the Sweetwater Park next door. Unfortunately it was not quite finished when we stayed but it is going to be AWESOME when it is open - we will be coming back and look forward to seeing this lovely city park finished and open for everyone to enjoy. We travel with our 20-year old cat, Abigail. Who usually stays inside the trailer but is known to hop out and have a look around from time to time. For the first time after a year and half on the road, she was not back inside by the time we were going to bed. We looked for her until midnight to no avail. When we called the office in the morning we found out she was hanging in the maintenance room with one of the park staff. Security had picked her up early in the morning (cold and wet) and realized she was not a feral and must belong to someone.. so took her to the office where she was well cared for until we came to pick her up. We so appreciated the Sun Outdoors team going above and beyond… what a wonderful bunch of people!! Thank you for having us, we will be back!
This was our fourth time staying at this RV Resort. We always have a great time. The food is good. The bartenders and other staff members are welcoming. We have kids ranging from 10-13 years old and they always have a great time. Human hungry hippo game was a lot of fun.
We were coming to this resort to park our camper while we help our Friends wife take care of him as he’s dying of cancer and has two weeks to live. On our way out there our truck broke down and our transmission blew and we are unable to make it and are still being charged $125 cancellation fee. Having some compassion goes a long way in life. We are heartbroken that we won’t see our friend before he dies and are unable to help his wife. They also told me that they had plenty of availability and were slow.
