Amazing beautiful village with great ski and ski out condo options. We booked with 3 Peaks Rentals at the Hearthstone Lodge and it was amazing. Great pizza within the lodge and awesome hot tubs ! Would love to go back.
Solid skiing, terrible customer service policies. Long story short, they would rather an extra $10 than a happy customer. If you intend on skiing here, just make sure to call ahead. It’s a waste of time for their service staff, but apparently not all of their policies are listed on their website, and they won’t make exceptions if you aren’t aware of these unwritten rules. It’s a good resort (other than slow lifts) but dealing with what should have been a non issue was a poor start to the day and left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Given how close Big White and Silver Star are, I’d have a hard time recommending Sun Peaks.
2024-12-25 Sun Peaks Resort offers an impressive variety of slopes catering to all skill levels, which makes it a standout destination. I loved the flexibility of choosing lift ticket prices based on different times of day—it’s a great way to customize your experience. The carpet lifts and T-bars for beginners were particularly noteworthy, making it an excellent spot for novices to build confidence on the snow. However, the biggest downside is the location; it’s a long 4-hour drive from Vancouver, which can feel exhausting. Overall, it’s a fantastic resort if you’re willing to make the trek!
Absolutely loved skiing with the Sun Hosts. What a brilliant program. We had the best time with Sidney & later in the week Theresa. What fabulous caring woman who looked after us all so incredibly well. I thoroughly recommend spending time with these experienced skiers.
Sun peaks has very few lifts to service a large area. This is not a problem, as most of the area can be easily accessed, a small amount is hikeable. Never saw more than 5 minutes in a queue. The Morrissey side is a North face and had better snow than the main south facing mountains. The village is small with some really good restaurants. Friendly employees and volunteers.
