Sun Retreats is not taken care of by the new owners. They give lip service. Don’t waste your money to stay here. All 3 hot tubs have been closed for two years. Pools are open in the summer when one used to be open year around. They tore down most of the playground and never put up the new one they ordered. Instead they sent it back. Roads are full of potholes. The adult clubhouse has been closed for almost two years. They took the nets off of the tennis courts rather than fix them. I give them a one star only because I can’t give them zero stars.
We were a family of 4 that stayed in the RV section for 2 nights. Booking and check in was easy and pleasant, and the site was nice, but it was not communicated to us that several features mentioned on the website were not available, such as 1. There was no hot tub 2. The entire adult club house was closed. 3. The nicest pool and washroom is adult only 4. Only 1 court has a net. 5. Only one shower out of 2 in the family washroom worked. There was a sauna, but it was also non functional. The site in general looks poorly maintained, with snow fencing by the pools. I saw no one basketball or volleyball courts. I would have been ok with just the pool, if the price were lower, and Sun Resorts had been open about the deficiencies. The price per night is not justified .
This is easily the nicest RV park I've stayed at. As a traveling tradesman, sometimes it can be hard to find a place to stay that checks all the boxes. This park has clean, well maintained restrooms and an adult pool as well as a kids pool as well as a convenience store attached to the resort. Marlene in the main office is a sweetheart and very professional. I had some issues with my work schedule and she was very understanding. I also had an issue with the hitch on my truck. The maintenance staff were extremely understanding and helpful. I will be back for sure!
My in laws bring their RV here all the time so I have not seen their other options. We love coming to visit. It is a quiet, safe area. There is lots of space for kids to play. You can rent golf carts to get around if needed. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the ocean. There is an adults only pool and a kid pool and they are currently fixing up their hot tub.
This is a great Rv park, wife and I just loved it, great amenities including 3 pools for all ages of your kids. Can't wait for summer to take our grandchildren.
