I was full time there for a year and made friends that will last my life time. The location is great, it makes it easy to get to the best parts of the southern fort myers areas. And the long term residents are some of the best people on the planet. The pool and hot tub are always perfect. The walking trail is amazing. It feels like you are family when you are there.
This is a beautiful community with an old Florida feel, and it is filled with truly wonderful folks I am happy to call neighbor. In addition to the many amenities they offer, there are regular community events that are not to be missed! Even though you're snuggled into a quiet neighborhood, there are grocery stores and shops within one mile, making it a very convenient location. The only reason I can’t rate this place higher is because of the trouble I’ve had with one of their employees who is a misogynist and misopedic. Management could do more about this problem, but they seem to just sweep problems under the rug.
This is a great place to stay. If you need to stay for a vacation or to live, this campground is great!
I love how homey and welcoming this resort is. I feel blessed to be able to call this place my home!! Edited to add: The front office staff always has a genuine smile and is willing to help. This resort is also very clean and well maintained!
PROS..I stopped in to get some information. The woman in the office were very pleasant and told me they were full for this season. I thought the park was very clean and well kept with really nice amenities. I thought having some lakes was great and that annual guests had their pick of sites at no upcharge. CONS.. Couldn't move in till April. The location is directly on Route #41 and seemed a bit isolated. Prices seemed a bit more but I liked that sites were larger and nicely landscaped. By comparison, prices seemed fair and not a deal breaker. I will definitely consider Woodsmoke in April.
