This is our second season staying at Sun Retreat, it has been an amazing 7 months here. We have great amenities and staff along with great neighbors. Looking forward to next year!
The silver lake sun retreat campground was very nice! We stayed in a one bedroom cottage and it had bunk beds in the hallway along with a full kitchen. The pool was very nice and heated. The jumping pillow and basketball courts were nice as well. Less than ten minutes to beach and restaurants.
We have stayed here several times. This year, we felt the price was not justified. They removed the dog park without any announcement. The woman in the office says they plan to move it by the playground, but why remove the current park in the meantime? This impacted our trip a great deal and we likely would have stayed elsewhere had we known this amenity was removed. Additionally, we arrived on Sunday and found the office was closed. Check in time is 3 pm and the office closed at 3 pm. That doesn't really seem like the most customer-friendly policy, does it? Lastly, there was a convoluted process involved in booking our cabin. Given all of this, it is unlikely we will return.
My family loved our stay! Lynn greeted us with a big smile and a warm welcome! She was the best and made sure we had everything we needed for our weekend trip! The campground was beautiful and very clean! We will definitely be camping here again! Highly recommend staying here!
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This is the worst campground I have ever stayed at, the people that run this place are so unprofessional I was being harassed by one of their employees and I took my complaint to Lynn and she did nothing about it, I really think it's because my husband and I are a interracial couple, they are racist here, so my husband finally said something to the employee that was harassing me and now we are getting kicked out because my husband was defending me, this employee was targeting me and my husband he told me I need to keep my dog on a leach when he was, he threw a paper at me saying I am getting a Citation for my daughter being in the hot tub when she wasn't, he told my husband he needs to watch my daughter, while she was playing on our Cement pad, everyone had complaints about this employee over the years and no one did anything about it. My husband talk to someone at corporate and they told us too bad they want us gone and they don't have to go through any proper paperwork to kick us out, when we talk to the Sheriff he said Sun Retreats have to go through the proper paperwork to evict us and the guy at corporate said he knows better than the Sheriff and he doesn't have to. I have multiple people watch the employee target and harassing me but Sun Retreats does not care, why stay at a place that doesn't defend their guests and treat them like they are just a number.
