Nice place but we stayed here because of there indoor pool, it was closed for renovation. There is no sauna as advertised. We had our rv so can't say anything about rooms but our site was nice and the playground was nice thankful for that at least. Everyone was friendly. Enjoyed walking with my daughter as she peddled that bike up the hills and down. She got some great exercise. Guess next time we decide a winter vacation we will call an confirm everything is working. Overall I have enjoyed being here but can't say hubby and daughter feel the same cause the pool is why we came.

This park is great and the rv spots are a nice size. They keep it very clean and well kept. There are multiple laundry rooms and showers if needed. Also, the wifi works great. Everyone we have met here is super friendly and helpful. We have been here for work and have had to extend our stay multiple times and we have had no issues.

This place is awesome!! I totally recommend it to everyone. From families with human babies to singles with fur babies everyone has something to do here. The staff is well trained and friendly. It's clean and quiet. And all the old growth trees are beautiful and provide much needed shade in the summer. I am SO HAPPY to be here! I'm staying for a whole Year!

I was In town for a conference in June and selected sun retreats in hill country honestly because it was the cheapest option with surprisingly the best reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in one of the small cabins and it was perfect, the kitchenette came in handy and it was a very private room. I would book here again if I come back to the area.

We only stayed for one night on a Friday. We used Booking.com, so there were no issues with the price changing like others stated since it was prepaid. We were trying to book any hotel in the area, but for whatever reason, the hotel prices jumped from $89-$139 a night to all over $300 a night for this particular Friday. We found Sun Retreats online and thought the idea of a cabin was a great alternative to a hotel, and the price was half the cost. Now common sense people know that a cabin is not going to be a luxury hotel, but I'm telling you, it was a great decision. You get your private cabin. You get to park right in front of your cabin, so no walking down hallways and up and down elevators to get to your room. To me, it looks like a tiny house. Full kitchen, sofa, TV, bathroom, bedroom, and even a loft with 2 other beds. Outside, you have your own picnic table and bbq pit. Was it fancy? No. It was exactly what I expected, but it had everything you needed if you wanted to cook. It even has a phone charger built into the couch. It was quiet since there is no one above or below you like in a hotel. The property is very well maintained and was very clean. They have numerous amenities on site, including an outdoor and an indoor pool, playground, volleyball, and basketball, just to name a few. We saw no bugs whatsoever in our cabin like others reported. The office staff were extremely welcoming and polite, and checkout is a breeze. Just drop the key in the checkout box. This is a great alternative to the high-priced hotels in the area. I would highly recommend you try something different and give them a shot. I'm glad we found Sun Retreats Texas Hill Country. PS: The only negative is that if you're over 6'2", you will have a hard time fitting in the shower.
