We rolled in before sunset on a mid-November Saturday afternoon. Only one other camper other than the camp-host. Beautiful little campground across the street from the creek. Very quiet, very clean....great stop!
Though we didn't stay at the campground we hiked the Middle Prong trail right next to it. There are several branches off the main trail both to the left and right allowing for more exploration. The main trail is fairly smooth and quite wide. It's a great hike offering plenty of natures best!
This camp ground is like a back woods "rest stop". There are about 10 primitive sites. There is potable water available. Sites have fire rings. There is a bathroom but no showers. During the day you can hear the occasional gun shot from the near by firing range. The sound of the creek is also audible from the camp sites ( and that helps me sleep as a fan addict ). Fire wood can be purchased. There is a swimming hole up stream just past the bridge. The water is cold even in August. The road is visible from the camp sites, but traffic during the day is minimal, and it's almost non-existent during the night. I would enjoy spending the night there again but would not seek it out as a destination.
What a glorious little spot of heaven we found. Clean, well kept, quiet, and hosts, Ronnie and Kim, who really care about your experience, are always there to help, and are friendly and welcoming. Steps away from a trout stream and water hole, hiking, waterfall close by, and other sights to see. Or, just relax by your campfire and take in the beauty of this very unique little campground. We will definitely be back. Thank you Ronnie and Kim!
This is a very well cared for campground. Place is so scenic and clean. A very nice couple is entrusted with the caretaking apparently. I was with a motorcycle group and we had a fantastic time. Running water in the clean toilets, lights in the toilet area and zero litter make this a perfect spot for motocamping
Small and quaint campground, and the host family couldn't be any friendlier. Lots of quality fly fishing right across street. FYI, there is no cellular signal at all within a few miles from the campsite.
Beautiful place to walk in the river we didn’t go to the campground. We just parked off the road along the river and had a picnic
