We are a traveling nurse couple from out of state. We had issues with a creepy male couple who followed my wife to the bathrooms on more than one occasion. We took showers together whether in men’s or women’s didn’t see issue as it’s for our safety and boy were we correct. We were in separate showers and the owner and manager yelled and screamed banged on my wife’s shower stall and took her clothes telling her to get out. We than were told no man is allowed in women’s restroom whether they identify as woman or not. We were than told to leave which was quite allright but we were ripped off over 300$ for supposed water and electric for just one month. If you identify as a woman as a man I would not recommend staying here you will be harassed by the people who run the park. You will also see homeless people throughout park in their gazebo and in their restrooms. My hope is that more identifiers stay there and get them in trouble for not following the laws. There are better parks that are safer for families and provide better amenities for the price they charge.
We stayed here just as an overnight stop and that’s as long as I recommend staying. Booked online with military discount. When I checked in the woman at the desk told me that the discount was for retirees only, not active duty. This gave me an indication that this was not a place that wanted traditional campers and families. She then requested I pay the $6 difference in rate for the military discount. Would not accept cash because she had already closed her register. She then questioned me about the breed of dogs I had with me and I assured her that they were all small. She demanded to know exact breeds which I found strange considering the place was rated as pet friendly. Sites are level and clean, but the water pressure was insane at 100 psi. I needed 2 regulators to get it down to an acceptable level. Train tracks and interstate overhead were easily accessible but noisy. There are no Amenities at this “campground” but charged similar to places with everything. Overall fine for a one night stay but would not recommend staying here for anything more than that.
This park is good. It’s in a really good location, close to many stores driving, close enough to enjoy St. Louis and far away enough from the city. We felt safe and slept great, quiet and peaceful. It’s all concrete and asphalt, easy to navigate with a 28 foot class C pulling a vehicle. The spaces are large and concrete with a picnic table, well lit. The restrooms and showers are clean. The office staff was nice. We would I stay here again no doubt.
Thanks for responding to my review which ernes you that last star. It's always great to see a place that takes their clientele serious. Our experience here will always be remembered for great accommodation, cool little shops around and events constantly in the area. I hope to come back some day because there is still a lot for us to explore in this lovey town.
Sundermeier RV Park in St. Charles, MO is a nice place to camp when visiting the Saint Louis Metro area whether it's winter or summer, there are lots of thing to do. You'll find the park has concrete pads to accommodate large and small Motor Homes and Trailers and is out of the way of heavy traffic but close to the Interstate highway systems. I spent 2 months here this summer and it seemed there was a festival in Old St Charles French Town area every two weeks and whether walking or biking; the 50 mile Katy Trail gives great views of the Missouri River.
