Sunnen Campsite

There is no Sunnen Campsite. It doesn't appear on the Camp May map. There are 2 pavilions in that space used for airsoft and archery ranges. Update: still not a campsite. Somehow this space overrides other places at Beaumont. This is a private, members only, reservation required, place. It is a wonderful place, but you need to be a member or guest of a BSA unit to use it. Still no Sunnen Campsite. For some reason this is the default location when you are actually at the Beaumont Climbing Tower.

This is such a great place for boy scouts and their families. Everything is always nicely organized and ready for whatever event they are hosting. My son went for a 3 night camp and he enjoyed every minute of it. From swimming to archery and the cafeteria food to the rustic, but not too rustic campsites, complete with tents (on a concrete slab) and cots. What a great way to ease the boys into enjoying the great outdoors.

This is a great spot. We had a blast at Arrow Of Light summer camp at camp joy. And cub world with its tunnels, fort, and pirate ship is super cool. But it is a BSA facility and is reserved for boy scout activities. There is not general public access.

Beaumont is a wonderful campsite. There is so much to do. 5 awesome trails of different lengths, rifle, shotgun, pistol, airsoft, paintball, archery, bb gun and wrist rocket ranges. A great pool, rock climbing tower, primitive camp sites as well as cabins. I can go on and on about how great it is to have this so close to st louis.

This site works quite well as a BB range if care taken to handle the queueing under volume load. I have also seen it used as an archery range. My guess is that it was more intended for Cub Scout family camping.
