This is a great place to take the family for a picnic and play in the lake. The day we were there, eight Canada geese were hanging out. There’s a nice pavilion, rest rooms, and parking lot that has just been expanded. The road is paved. It looked like the geese were going to ignore the No Camping sign.
Great summer vacay place! While it was pretty busy, the area is big enough that it doesn't feel crowded. The parking lot is pretty big, although we had to park a little more towards the far side of the parking lot because of the amount of people that were there. Great place to boat, kayak, swim, and cliff jump (which is what we did).
Pretty okay beach. The water was pretty cloudy as Flaming Gorge goes. There’s lots of rocks on the shore, so you’ll want to wear shoes walking around. The beach is slanted as well, so we stuck a stick in the ground to keep our gear in the right place. There is one path from the parking lot down to the beach. This was not well maintained. Im young, under 30, fell and broke my ankle and fibula which required emergency surgery. I don’t recommend coming to this beach. Even before this freak accident, the beach was sub par.
Water was high so there wasn't much of a beach. We were disappointed. We used a big pavillion with tables for our lunch, then moved on. One vault toilet, no garbage cans.
Beautiful place and nice for walking and fishing. Be careful of the trash awful people just leave.
