Amazing star gazing, and close to the hot springs! Some excellent camping especially during the week. Can't speak for the weekends, but I would assume it can get quite busy. Perfect home base for everything I wanted to do in the area.
This is a beutiful camping ground. Feels like staying in a rainforest with tall trees and ferns around. There is river flowing right next to it for a dip and a hot spring in 10 mins drive. They have only one restroom for 10 camp sites which can get messy with bigger groups. But there are 2 restroom in like 5 mins walk around the bridge junction you will know once you get there. Resrooms are clean.
This was once a family friendly camp ground. It isn't anymore it has been filled with people who dont respect others or the rules. 64C, there are apparently regulars who come and cuss, play loud music, until 2:30am when quiet time is 10pm. They don't care, and when asked to quiet down, they make rude comments about the person. Flashing lights and everything that keeps others awake. Kept repeating, "I can do what I want, I'm American" ...yea you are but the kind that makes me ashamed to be one too. No humanity or care for others. Camp hosts or people with the camp grounds stop showing up about 9pm. So everything can happen no one is held accountable. If your going to yell about hot button topics like (politics, etc), flash lights, play games with the radio loud then quite...at 2am.... maybe you should camp somewhere private and free that does not have rules to limit your loudness and inconsiderate nature towards others.
Beautiful place. You can enjoy your time in nature by hiking or swimming in the lake. Highly recommended
Loved this place! Super chill, nice big sites, and close to hot springs! Nice foliage too. Felt like Jurassic park. Very cute little frogs at the stream!
