Based on customer reviews, Sunnyside Fishing Site offers a "nice little fishing location" that is easily accessible via a short walk from the nearby Dexter campground. There are two ways to reach it: either by walking along the shoreline from Dexter or by parking above and walking through moderately dense foliage, which appears to be the former water level of the lake, resembling a sandy beach with lake grass. Upon exiting the foliage, visitors are greeted by a "beautiful shoreline" with diverse fishing spots, including rock outcroppings and a seemingly deep trench extending from the shore. The shoreline itself consists of very loose sand, advising visitors to wear high-walled shoes or boots and to exercise caution when navigating the rocks, some of which are large enough to sit on.

The environment is characterized by calm waters, as the location is away from the boat ramp, and offers "exceptional views of the lake." One reviewer also mentioned attending a wedding at the site, describing it as having an "amazing view" and being a "perfect spot for a small wedding," indicating its potential suitability for events.

This is a nice little fishing location just a short walk from the nearby Dexter campground. There are two methods to get here either walking the shoreline from Dexter, or parking up top, and then traversing through some moderately dense foliage, that looks like is in what used to be the old water level of the lake, and it resembles a sandy beach with lake grass deposits throughout. Once you break out of the thick foliage however it opens into a beautiful shoreline with several different fishing aspects from rock outcroppings to what looks like a deep trench that runs off from the shoreline. The shoreline itself is very very loose sand, so I recommend some high walled shoes, boots, or caution as it was easy to sink down in, or lose your footing if traversing through the rocks, which some of them made from good places to sit as some are large. Overall this was an enjoyable spot, with decently calm water being away from the boat ramp with exceptional views of the lake.
