What a great place to stay! The owner, Donnie, was about as chill to deal with as could be. Very accommodating. The campground was clean and spots are spaced out nicely. Nothing beats the sunsets here or watching the sun come up with the fog over the river. When staying the restaurant and bar next door has great burgers and there's a nice breakfast joint 3 minutes down the road. An excellent stay!
Working with owner was very easy and he offered lots of info on eateries, grocery and a quick trip to Walmart. Had a couple of questions and he answered our text quickly. The campground is very clean and right on the banks of the Ohio. It was a wonderful place to use as our base for our trip to The Ark, Creation Museum and Kentucky Horse Park. Pictures posted on FB page are exactly what you have. Since we weren't looking for any amenities it suited our needs and we will use this campground as a place for a quick getaway since is only about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from home. Be Aware there is 1 community picnic table and a community fire pit though you can take your own. Relaxing just watching barges travel the Ohio.
Quiet, beautiful rv campground right on the Ohio River. If you're looking for a peaceful place or somewhere to park you camper so you can come and go, this is it. Owner is very nice, responds quick to texts and calls. Beautiful place to sit and watch the barges go by. Nice concrete pad and full hookups.
Backed up right to Ohio River. Beautiful view of River, boats, barges, and sunset, got to watch a beaver & geese. Small playground for kiddos, restaurants nearby that had live music. Full hookups. You do need to be self sufficient as far as restrooms/showers. No shower house/bathrooms on site. Community fire pit right behind site #8, on the river. Owner was very responsive via phone and text.
The park is very nice with great owners! The park is quiet and so peaceful. The rv spots are great that are literally on the Ohio river. We would definitely stay here again
