I am proud to say that Sunsport Gardens is a beautiful resort if you want to practice naturism in the winter. I went for one week this January (2025) for a break from the cold of British Columbia. I was kind of surprised that the nights were still pretty chilly, but the daytimes were lovely. The only real issues I had were that the volleyball players take their game too seriously for newcomers (I got kicked out for not playing well enough) and I wished the Naturally Nude Cafe didn't close so early (2:00 PM). It at least could have reopened in the evenings to serve dinner options. Other than that, I had a wonderful time, and will definitely be back. The office recommended food delivery via Instacart, which I did. There are routine activities, like drawing, dancing, yoga, water aerobics, and potlucks too. Oh, and don't forget to try the labyrinth. It's the most peaceful, relaxing place in the whole resort.
Great place, I appreciate the people that run it and let it exist. I'd suggest the drum circle nights do a little better at promoting inclusion and equity, as there are a lot more men than women. Instead of $15 per person, I'd suggest women get in for free, it would attract a lot more people, and if money was still a concern, raise it to $20 or $30 for men. As it stands, its an aging overly male crowd, it wasn't always that way.
It’s been a few years since we have been there. The staff and people are great. We planning another trip this summer.
$110/night for a couple on an RV with water and electric. Little pricey. $80/night is our experience for 2024 at SVR, Cypress Cove, Bare RV and Sunnier Palms. So I’m inclined to stick with one of those choices. 10/12/24 Saturday morning only one other couple playing pickleball. Which was nice to have someone to play with. Pool and hot tub are the focal feature. Food in the cafe has recently changed to healthier picnic style choices. Very reasonably priced. Got a charcuterie board $7 and a side salad that consisted of tomato, tortellini, white beans and arugula that was very good $4
Extremely sad that a beautiful opportunity in a great facility is wasted. Tom and many of the other management are horribly rude and disrespectful even sometimes dishonest. They have a few lower level management people that are nice despite the bad attitudes of the upper management. Plain and simple things need to change here. It is simply terrible. My complaints here do not touch the tip of the iceberg. Management has to change. I wonder how it will be when the ownership changes? What a waste of a great facility!
