Super 8 by Wyndham Ionia

Im here to visit with a friend, see the town of Ionia, do a lilltle local shopping, and expore the local restaurants. The hotel is right off a main road, easy to find, and clearly marked. My check in experience was quickly done, with a friendly greeting from Amanda. With just a short checking process I was in my room. The rooms are clean, cozy, well stocked, and comfortable. They do give you a refrigerator and microwave. The room appears to be well kept up and functioning as normal. There is plenty of parking right out front and around the building itself. I will comment on breakfast tomorrow, but there is a small breakfast area in the main lobby.

We had the best experience with the customer service during our recent stay! Anna and the rest of the team were so accommodating and patient with our large group in town for a wedding. I know we were a handful on several levels:) The rooms and decor are fairly dated but everything was kept in great condition. Felt very clean and maintained. Thanks to the whole staff for their part in a wonderful few days!

Date of stay - September 2024. The good - The hotel is older and though it's outdated, it was very clean. The bathroom was clean and shower curtain didn't smell at all. The beds were clean (though not very comfortable). The location was great for us as it was right off the highway and easy to get to and leave in the morning. It's dog friendly and had lots of grass. The bad - our room smelled awful and the carpet was damp. It WAS a pet room, so we're used to some animal smells and cleaning product smells. This smelled like cat pee. I got the feeling they tried to clean the carpet, didn't do a great job and then released the room before it was ready.

Our stay was fantastic. The whole facility was clean, neat and very well presented. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area for our fur baby to run was fantastic. They even have a picnic area with a charcoal grill. We will definitely be staying here again.

I had let the ladies know at the desk that I was visiting a prisoner at Richard a Hanlon prison and then I was going to be driving 8 hours home afterwards and I wanted a good night's rest. They gave me a room all the way in the corner of the hotel and it was wonderful! I can't thank them enough. The room was clean and quiet. I will be stopping in again for sure!
