Stayed here for 2 nights while on a reset. The rooms were spacious enough and the beds were comfortable enough that I passed out quickly. But when you've worked 70 hours in six days, any bed in a quiet place will do the trick. Location was also close to where I parked my truck so that was an added bonus.
Front desk lady and breakfast lady went out of their way to make my stay feel like home. Thanks and I recommend all to stay there. Just a suggestion to have USB outlets to charge cells and tablets.
Upon arriving I was skeptical about the convenience for accessing my vehicle and outdoor space for my dog. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and quickly made my stay pleasant and accommodating. She put me in a room near the exit door at the end of the hallway, which was adjacent to green space on the side and behind the Hotel. She also pointed out a nearby 5 minute walk uphill to a lovely dog park with bonus views overlooking Kamloops. The hotel is located nearby a shopping mall, Pet Smart and numerous restaurants and a grocery store. Convenient and most pleasant staff made this stay a definite “ do over “.
They were incredibly accommodating about my service dog. They didn't charge any extra fees for her, they didn't even require to see her or her government ID card before checking us in. It was very efficient and a completely hassle-free process. Check out was simple and very quick. The room was clean and had a decent sized fridge and a microwave, which came in handy for us because we ordered takeout Chinese food. The delivery guy was able to come right to our room door. The front parking lot was very busy but they have a hidden parking lot in the back that is almost always empty, so that was nice. And we could see our vehicle from our window, which was also nice, to be able to check on it.
Well I ended up in the hospital for a few days and we went back to this hotel. They were all so nice, concerned and checking how I was. I got the much needed rest for 2 nights before driving back to Manitoba. There are so many things within walking distance. The jacuzzi is pretty awesome. I turned the tap on right away as it took a while to fill. It's deep and pretty good for your average couple, but hubby is a giant, so not so comfy for him, but he still enjoyed it. Unsure what time breakfast was, but we probably missed it😞. The bed was comfy 😊, and we checked in late .
