Super 8 by Wyndham Mt. Pleasant

We booked this hotel because it was the cheapest one in the area that had a pet friendly option. They’re only three in the area. We stayed the first night no issues we have a dog and a cat. We Here at this location because we are getting our work vehicle serviced. Therefore, we had to rebook our room for three extra hours, so the animals had somewhere to be. Upon rebooking, we were informed that they are pet friendly, but just not for cats. One of their employees was deathly allergic to cats. Which is wild at why they would even hire somebody who was allergic to any animal, considering they are a pet friendly hotel. It was a huge inconvenience for us. We ended up being late to our appointment to get our vehicle fixed. We had to go book another hotel. We had to contact the third-party site that booked it to get a refund back, which they don’t really allow but under these circumstances, we are. Because the hotel states that they are pet friendly and they’re not. I do believe that it’s super policy across the country that they are all pet friendly. Even if you are independently owned and you use the super eight name whatever it is you should follow the super 8s policies. They had a single employee allergic therefore cats are not allowed. so I’m informing anybody out there who wants to book at this hotel with a cat do not do it they will kick you out. we had to move. We had just moved there the night before move into another hotel while being late to our appointment because of this inconvenience. They have no pets allowed at all not have that employee. It’s very simple. That is why this is receiving a star. Definitely not happy.

Staff was amazing. My room was great and bed was comfortable. There was some noise on the floor but the GM took care of it. I see some really good changes that are taking place. The new manager was very friendly and her front desk girl Latosha was amazing helped us get to the casino easily.

The room needed some wiping down but wr always bring our cleaning wipes. The first night someone brought a dog that barked from the time we checked in at 3 until 11:30 PM so i made my husband get me earplugs. The desk said the owners went out but they shouldn't leave a barking dog in the room. I've never stayed where they could leave a pet alone. Other than that it was a great stay. Convenient place to stay as well.

The refrigerator didn't work, the fan in the heat didn't work. No hot water for baths. Not enough plug ins. The rooms look old and kind of dirty. Don't stay there you will regret it.

Currently staying here. It's now 3 am. Drunks slamming doors all night long, fighting and yelling in the hallway, banging noises. Checked in at 8 pm and it's been non stop. Absolutely cannot get any sleep here. Shady people in the parking lot all night long hanging out by the cars, really concerned about the security of my car. I found long black hairs in the bathtub, set my phone on the nightstand and it was literally stuck to it from some sticky residue that was on the table 🤢 I Left to get food and came back to find beer cans laying in the hallway. This is my first and last stay here. Definitely not worth the money.
