Super 8 by Wyndham Ocala I-75

Room was pretty clean. Little older, so has some rough spots. Cleaning could get in some corners a little better. Staff was friendly and polite. Priced good. Bed comfortable. Water pressure good and hot. For a night or while escaping a hurricane, this is a good place to stop.

Stay as far away from this hotel as possible. If I could of rated them 0 stars I would of done so. The shampoo and soap bottles were both empty. When I flushed the toilet in the morning, after liquid use only, it overflowed all over the bathroom floor. I mentioned this when we checked out 15 minutes later and was told the manager would call me, that never happened. I called them 4 days later and and the manager on duty told me that the toilet issue never happened, that I was lying. Obviously good customer service is not in their vocabulary. Stay Away. JTO

Not bad, room was actually kind of decent. The lady at the front desk was rude. However, I suppose this is to be expected at a cheap hotel and or Super eight brands. Manager seem to be unshaped by the front desk clerk yelling on the phone to a recent customer, “I’ve explained to you what happened, goodbye.” I only stayed at this hotel because I was in town volunteering. Otherwise, I do not stay at Super eight, but I think the price was worth what I was in town for. I’m usually accustomed to luxury hotels, but like I mentioned this was kind of decent. The room showed that somebody actually attempted to put some care and concern into the appearance of the room. The noise from the constant traffic on interstate I 75 was nonstop however. They serve breakfast in the morning, largely prepackaged items that are processed and full of sugar. Coffee was good, but it gave me a headache later on, I reckon it was too strong. they have a pool that goes up to 8 feet, that shows you how old the hotel is as modern hotels do not have pools that deep, they stop about 5 feet. The rooms also permit smoking. The room had a smoke smell so I had to go to the local Walmart to get a diffuser to repel the smoke smell in the rooms. There’s even an ashtray in the room. Deposit is a hundred bucks. There was no iron in the room, maybe at the front desk perhaps.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and it was very pleasant. The rooms are updated and clean and the staff were absolutely amazing, especially Candice at the front desk. She has outstanding customer service skills and goes out of her way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. If you’re traveling through Ocala stay at Super 8!

I've stayed here many times while delivering city transit buses in Florida. The check-in is always fast and efficient, the building and grounds are well maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Large vehicle parking is available around the hotel perimeter and across from the office there is a gravel lot.
