Super 8 by Wyndham West Plains

We stayed in a non-smoking room for the first 3 nights, and the room was great other than the bathtub would not hold water. Due to a knee injury I was unable to stand in the shower so management was kind, and brought in a shower chair for me to use. Our last night we stayed in a smoking room because I was tired of going outside, and getting in and out of my car to smoke. Again the bathtub would not hold water, but this time I came up with my own short-term fix. I love that this place is pet-friendly. Management, and staff are very friendly and helpful. Super 8 will always be our go-to place.

Bedbugs. Immediately found bedbugs in the mattress and reported it to the front desk. They apologized and gave me a different room, but here too I found like the other, an incredibly dirty, stained, random mattress that looked like it'd been pulled from the garbage. Food on the furnature, stains everywhere. I was unable to get a refund for the room but left anyways. Unacceptable. The vibe of the place is terrifying. The moment I pulled in I knew something was gonna be bad. When I walked in, it felt like a horror movie waiting to happen. The owners of this place are clearly here to get their check and do the absolute bare minimum. Do not stay here if you want to leave without bedbugs or getting into a dangerous encounter.

Don’t stay here! It’s smells, dirty, you have to asked for an extra towel and explain why you need it. Mattress was trash or should had been. I’m sorry pvc does not make legs for a bed frame! Bedding, I wouldn’t use it! Took my own. I’ll never stay here again.

Do yourself a favor and stay at Baymont. It's like $10 more a night and they have actual bed frames and no bed bugs. This place has metal bed frames that squeak like crazy any time you move.. it's really annoying. They also have bed bugs and I woke up to bug bites on my arm.

I have stayed here a lot over the last few years. I would fly into Springfield from Vegas to visit my family. Always been awesome. Butttt the new owners are something. I was there in early afternoon had my 2 very small dogs which I paid the extra for. I was exhausted, my mother brought some things by my room. She stayed maybe 20 minutes. Then about 2 hours later my son came by when he got off work. Once again he was there maybe 20 to 30 minutes. I received all call from the front desk. Ask me how many people was staying with me. I said what just me and 2 dogs. They said someone said I had a lot of people going in and out of my room. Told them my mom and son came by. They said no company after 9pm. I said are you kidding me my son was there about 6pm. I thought forget this. I ask how long they owned this place they said 2 months. I said I always stayed there but not anymore.
