Customer Reviews
You stay at Super 8 for the value, for the price-to-quality ratio. For this reason, this place was great. The coffee was always available and fresh, the service was excellent, and the location was perfect for a trip to the national park or various attractions nearby. Super 8 won't win any awards for room quality, but despite this the sheets were clean and the room was clean. For what I paid for, it was perfect. If you're looking for a heated pool, this isn't it. When I took the pictures, it was 72 degrees Fahrenheit outside and the pool water was definitely 10 degrees colder than that, but it was refreshing. Was there sand clumped at the bottom of the pool in certain places -- sure, but this is the desert, so sand moves around, often. I have stayed at Super 8 in Yucca Valley many times before and will continue to in the future when I need a bed in the Morongo Basin.
We were just here for one night, to see a concert over at papi and Harriet's. We picked this hotel because it was very close to the venue and we had a very easy check-in as well as check out. The great thing that we didn't expect, was That our room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker as well as two queen size beds. It was exactly what we were looking for. Also, how can you beat the price? It was $85 plus tax. We've paid more and gotten quite a bit less at other hotels. Highly recommend this Super 8!
Bathrooms were clean which is a huge consideration for my fiancé. Beds were clean and comfy! Check in took minutes, and staff was super friendly. Staff was accommodating toward check out, and made the whole experience a 10/10. Would visit again!
It's got that "70s hotel on the outskirts of a desert-town" vibe, but it happens to have a mish-mash of old/new/low-quality stuff. It's neither good nor bad, just... slightly subpar? It's clean-ish, mostly just dingy. Beds squeak, and occasionally the shower will suddenly turn cold before warming back up a minute later. Our (old school) air conditioner unit will sometimes smell like wet dog or piss when it first kicks on, but the smell goes away soon after. Breakfast is coffee/juice, cereal, oatmeal, toast, or a pre-packaged pastry. Overall, it's fine to stay a night or two, but it's definitely not worth it if you have to pay over $80/night.
This is always one of my favorite places to stay when I go up to visit my kids. I'm not going to lie the guy at the front desk is kind of frumpy and doesn't really have good communication skills. Play all in all it does serve a cold complimentary breakfast which means milk with cereal pastries that are wrapped a honey buns bread that you can make into toast that kind of stuff.....
