Customer Reviews
This campground is 5 stars for every single reason. It is family owned and operated and the value and charm of this place is evident in every interaction and detail. The sites are wooded allowing for privacy but also everything is fairly centrally located. We stayed on site 8 and our camper was able to fit comfortably with a good amount of space around. Electric available with dump station and potable water near by. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and serviced every day. Guest laundry and a camp store are available and prices in the camp store are very reasonable! The wood you can purchase is a huge bundle of cedar for $10 which is wild when compared to other campgrounds! Big playground area, big outside chess game, other yard games available as well for all to use. The staff is incredible, helpful, present but also very relaxed and wanting everyone to just have an enjoyable trip! The lake is gorgeous with pontoon boats, kayaks and a fishing boat to rent. Fishing off the doc was a favorite for our kids. The stars were the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen! The sky was full of stars and my kids and I could even see the Milky Way when you go out near the lake at night. Overall, Superior Times won our hearts and the value of this place is so worth the price and travel!
Stayed in a cabin. Clean and we'll designed with everything you will need for cooking and comfort. The toilet was a bit tight but on site public toilets are high standard and very clean. Owners are friendly and attentive. Some food items available at their gift shop. A short walk down to the lake and the view is very nice especially at sun rise. Fire pits are perfect and nice strong chairs available including a picnic table and grill. We are already booked for next year. See you there.
My group stayed in one of the bungalows and were blown away by the accommodations. They were clean, included electricity, had a mini fridge, and extremely nice private (but shared) bathrooms directly behind us. Even the firewood we purchased at the campground was plentiful and great for starting a campfire. The location made for easy swimming access at the campground or only a three minute drive to Lake Superior. I have only great things to say and can’t wait to come back soon.
I have visited Superior Times 3 years in a row. I am not a camper! This campground has so many options from rustic camping to cabins with all amenities! My recent stay was in Isle Royale with my husband, kids and partners. The only complaint was we needed to stay longer. This campground is family owned and it shows. They love what they do, and the attention to detail shows. The prices are so reasonable, and a family vacation is affordable. I am already booked for next year. This area is beautiful beyond all expectations!
Great location, being close to so many things to do around munising and Marquette etc. Electric tent site 30 will not be where we stay next time though; it's right next to the maintenance barn, office, RV waste, RR/showers, playground, dumpster, and owners pavilion. There was a loud crowd at the owners pavilion until the late hours of the night which kept my kids up, so next time we'll probably do a rustic site away from things. The wifi signal was great though. The site was purely sand, some grass or mulch would be nice so everything doesn't come home sandy. Should be cheaper than 35/night, but I have seen worse. The office is stocked with plenty of supplies and smelted pizza 👍. The firewood on site was all dry cedar to my surprise; while not the quietest wood because it constantly pops, it burns great and smells amazing. The kid at the office was very nice and even said I was welcome to tie my boat to the dock. Overall a great place, we can't wait to come back and make more memories and catch more fish.
