Well where to start I booked this room having no idea this hotel was under construction. When I arrived i was put in a room directly beneath a room being demolished. The floors were disgusting and stained as was every item of furniture. I took photos. So stained and gross i had to wear shoes the entire time because the one time I was barefoot my feet became black. Also they were power spray painting so my bathroom filled with toxic paint fumes all day. So bad I had to block to bathroom door with a towel to trap them in. None of the amenities advertised were available. The hot tub was drained, the gym was closed, the parking lot was full of old furniture and construction vehicles. And they started banging and demolishing at 6 am everyday right above my room. This was unbelievable. When I tried to bring this to the attention of the manager she seemed annoyed with me for even complaining. To top it off you are charging almost $200 a night for this hole of a hotel. That's the price i would pay for a nice Hilton or Marriott room. The manager discounted my stay by 20$ a night and thought that was sufficient. This was false advertising and I would have never ever stayed here had this been presented truthfully. For 200 a night I thought I was getting a nice place to stay. I plan to complain further and get a refund. This was disgusting. The only bright spot was the front desk staff. Kevin and Jessica were as helpful as they could be, and kind
We went for the jacuzzi. I have driven by this place numerous times but this was my first stay. I didn't have high expectations because i know the area pretty well. I had a feeling the jacuzzi wouldn't be working and it was so. I also booked a suite for the fold out couch/bed as pictured in listing and guess what? It didn't exist. Overall, it's a pretty shabby spot to stay.
Bed and service were good. Our room had the basics but not the little things like cups or usb outlets. The breakfast had the basics but no lids for coffee cups. The hotel is under construction but that did not impact us. $20 fee for pets. 1/2025
Major construction going on but they do not tell guests before arrival. Loud construction noises at 7AM and until 8 PM the night before. No hot breakfast as they have gutted their main entrance area. TVs are not set up, just black set up screens. Lights constantly flicker due to construction. One of our rooms the fire alarm started going off for no reasion at 8 AM for about 10 minutes. Very shady not to inform guests beforehand, I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. Its now almost 3pm on a Saturday and after hiking in Joshua Tree i come back to LOUD drilling and banging right outside my room when i just eant to rest. The staff however was very friendly and welcoming, unfortunately there isn't much they can do about the HUGE renovation taking place. You should inform people either via email or phone that you have HUGE renovations going on. Also when pulling up to check in the place looks abandoned with all the ground floor windows boarded up with cardboard. It looks so sketchy, we thought it was closed.
This stay was really enjoyable. Front desk could definitely use some training on procedure. I was pretty uncomfortable with the night shift employee knocking on my door to tell me to keep it down. The noise complaint was about the volume of my laugh. That being said, I'm unsure if we'll be back to that hotel for our trips to Pioneertown, solely based on the employees. The room was great, clean, bigger than expected and the bed was very comfortable.
