Customer Reviews
My favorite place at Swan Bay is the waterfront near the pavilion. When I made the reservation, nothing was available, so I did get a site directly across from that area. The best site in the park (#4) was open. After the first night, I called the office to see if it was available. They graciously allowed me to move over for the remainder of my stay! We were so happy!
Swan Bay Resort has been a family favorite destination since we started camping in 2020. We spent many summers at a variety of campgrounds across the NE, but ever since our first camping trip to Swan Bay in 2020, it has been our home away from home. After many summers of booking 30+ nights, we finally made the plunge in 2024 and became seasonal there. What do we like most about it? The people. The amenities are great - from clean bath and laundry facilities, to the pool and tiki bar, marina, on site food truck and grocery and liquor stores within a short walk - but at the end of the day, the people matter the most. Staff are wonderful, always greeting campers with a smile and friendly hello. The owner cares about the property and his guests, and provides gracious hospitality all season long. We have made so many close friends, whom we’ve met at Swan Bay. Because of this vast friend network, we extend our season into the winter. We meet camping friends at events all over NY throughout the winter. We wholeheartedly recommend SB for your next camping trip. A+++
Swan Bay Resort exceeded all of our expectations. We were in a bungalow, which turned out to be fairly spacious: nice kitchen, lots of storage. The bungalow was well stocked with all the supplies we needed (dishes, cookware, appliances). Our accommodations and all of the facilities we visited/used were spotless, modern, and well maintained. People were friendly and helpful. Really this is among the nicest 1,000 Islands accommodations that I've experienced at a very reasonable cost.
Stayed this past summer for several days in our fifth wheel. I think this was our 5th time. I love it here. Staff are pleasant, sites are spacious and level and park is clean. Swan Bay is truly a resort worth visiting. Added bonus is the grocery store is next door!
Hi, as a couple, we recently spent one Friday night to meet friends, late September at Swan Bay. We stayed in Crackerjack cabin. This particular cabin is handicap accessible with full ramp, we did not need that but there were no stairs on other side, not a big deal but would not want to only be able to exit the long ramp to carry in/out things or bring things out to the grill/picnic area if we had a longer stay, but its a great secluded, private back yard location. The bed was firm but comfortable, shower was hot and everything was super clean. Utensils and cookware is provided and a coffee maker, but not coffee/supplies. I wish I knew in advance that it is a regular pour pot type so I would have brought coffee since they don't have it in the rooms. Tiki bar was great, some of the drinks are pricey, but others are cheap, so just read the board. They provide shuttle service for free into Alex Bay, we did not use but that the the ability to borrow corn hole and other games is a nice touch. We ordered take out from diner just outside of gates and it was great. Overall, we love the place and would like to book a chalet by the pool with family, but the pricing is really high, even with our 20% discount for off season rate, so we likely won't do that but may visit another time just us. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, 5 stars for them!
