Customer Reviews
Easy drive from Republic and the road to Swan is very nice and well maintained. Great beach area and a huge picnic area that gave us shelter from a quick thunderstorm. There is a trail that goes around the entire lake I highly recommend. Lots of fishing holes and we caught a ton of trout. Many areas to stop on boulders for a picnic, etc.
Beautiful area, quiet, plenty of areas to hike and explore. Bring the bug spray!!! And avoid the droppings left by the free roaming cows lol. The cow pies are.. massive.
The "kitchen" is part of the campground, and can be reserved with its own parking lot and fire pit. Campground has loons on the lake and various trails, one to Swan Butte is a must do, but strenuous.
