Swan Lake Resort Rentals

I have been staying at Swan Lake almost every 3 months for almost 2 years now and will not stay anywhere else. I am from that area but fly in from Colorado to see family and have stayed at numerous places within Swan Lake and highly recommend this area. It is quiet, NOT a hotel “room or suite” just so much, much more. The prices are reasonable, every place is clean, Joy who is the contact there is extremely kind & responsive, she feels like family. PLUS it is a a home, not a room, I am so happy I found it and do not go anywhere else! I am there again in March 2025 (I was just there in January 2025) I will take pictures to post this time!

We were vendors at a wedding that was held at the venue. The venue is beautiful but the hostess/decorator was not very helpful and it was not a very vendor-friendly establishment. From my understanding, it’s costly but not much is offered to assist customers, in creating that memorable experience for certain occasions.

I recently had the honor of officiating a wedding at the breathtaking Swan Lake Resort, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The spectacular views of the serene lake and lush greenery provided a stunning backdrop that enhanced the romantic and joyous atmosphere. The natural beauty of the surroundings seemed almost too perfect to be real, making the ceremony feel like a fairytale come to life. The professionalism of the staff was evident throughout the event. Lauren and her dedicated team were all-in, ensuring that every detail was meticulously planned and executed. Their commitment to creating a one-of-a-kind wedding atmosphere was clear, and it was reflected in the bride’s stress-free and radiant happiness. The seamless coordination and exceptional service allowed everyone, from the couple to the guests, to fully enjoy the celebration. Swan Lake Resort truly excels in providing an enchanting and worry-free wedding experience.

Secluded House: First given the Secluded House. When we first walked in, could see the floor was not clean. Floors did not look like they were cleaned or mopped in a long time. Crumbs and dust were on the floors, crumbs on the counter tops, stains on counter tops. There were crumbs on the bed. Informed owner and we were moved to the Athena House, no apology from owner. Made excuses such as it is hard to keep the floor clean. Athena House: When we first walked in it appeared to be somewhat cleaner at first glance. However, after walking around in clean white socks, bottoms of our socks became filthy. Does not appear this floor was cleaned well either. Tables next to the bed had trash on them. There was leftover change on one of the tables that did not belong to us. The bathroom floor looked filthy. Jacuzzi tub was not clean. When used, there was hair and unknown substances in the water with us. The given bathrobes were dirty. Covered in what appeared to be make up. There was also an unknown blue pill on the floor next to the bed. After brief research, appeared to be a form of viagra. Advertised on website and house guide binder that fishing equipment was available for guests to use. Inquired about said fishing equipment and were told there was none. Would not call this place a resort. It felt like I was staying at a motel. Felt we deserved better for the price I paid. The only good thing I can say is the location itself was nice. I'd recommend avoiding. If you wanted to go to Atlantic City or Ocean City, you would be better off just staying at a hotel in those places. I am not sure how they were given so many 5 star reviews. We don't plan on returning.

We love to stay at Swan Lake! Hubby and I always choose this place to relax and spend some quiet time alone. Only one thing, they could do a little more cleaning, especially the bedding, please! But we're definitely going back to give it another try. Thank you 😊
