Heading for the Tetons for the Eclipse, we decided to make camp far away from the overly inundated Jackson, Wyoming, and found the perfect spot at Swift Creek above Afton. It was absolute paradise, surrounded by a dense forest, an ice cold river right off our tent site and easy access to any supplies we might have forgotten (6 minute drive to the nearest Maverick station) but we felt like we were hours from civilization. Highly recommended!

Had a lot of flood damage, but the sites at the back were decent. Site 7 had a great creek side picnic area. Our 29' trailer fit in barely.

Horrible maintenance. Shame of Forest Service. Campground is washed out by flooding they didn't bother to fix last year. Deer carcasses in campground. Worst Forest facility ever. They don't care. Horrible.

Officially closed, but I snuck in a couple nights with my boxer dog along the Swift Creek last month...didn't hurt that I ran into a sleeping bag warmer on the drive up...guess I'll never know where her boyfriend got off to!

Camped here for a night or two. Good location, nice trees, restrooms and garbage too.
