I went on 6/21 and was attempting to find an open campsite at 0830am. I was confronted by the camp host aggressively. He told me it was clear I didn't know how to read, as the signs for where I was looking were.for camping only. I told him nicely I was looking for camping. He told me "get up here now and move your car this instant". It was an area that said open on the designated spots. He held up the card again and accused me of being illiterate. He told me "how rude it was your horn honked" (it beeped when I stepped away from it) and "MY CAMPERS ARE RESTING ". He seemed to be shaking with anger, and his speech was even reflective of that. He then followed me to the area with camping (10 -20 feet away)and stood there while watching me. He then carted away, confronting someone else- I heard them yelling back. I don't know his name, I dared not ask him any questions - but I'm fearful of him and how he acts towards others. Please look into this concern, whomever the host of morning 6/21 has anger concerns.

First time here and we loved it. We had six people with a camper van and two tents and we fit perfectly on one site (#3) with plenty of room. The camp host, James, is great and super helpful. I read other reviews were people complained but there a documented set of guidelines written by US Forest Service (not the he camp host) The bathrooms are very clean. The lake is gorgeous . Perfect place to hike, kayak, paddle board or cycle. The camp post sells firewood for $10 a bundles. The sites at the top have fire pits and tables. These are the largest sites It’s all first come first serve. We arrived Thursday and there were plenty sites but just a couple left by Friday afternoon. There is no Day use allowed here but there is a place next to it for day use We loved it and plan to go back. Not there is no water at this time so being plenty.

This is one of the most beautiful camp ground I have ever been to. The Host has everything organized and the bathrooms are very clean. I am especially going to thank the host for being very polite, and with good manners, very helpful, and very responsible. we spend 5 days at the on the 4th of July weekend, the host has to deal with a family that didn't want to follow the campground rules, this family began to abuse the rules, the maximum number of people in a single campground are 8 people, this family exceeded like maybe thirteen people and more and more cars arrived. hearing by other campers closed to this campsite. they were afraid of the fire that they were doing, completely unsafe. and the Host in a very good manner and polite, request to the campers fix the fire and notify that only 8 people in the campsite. but this family didn't care at all, and more people continue to arrived. at the end the Host resolved the situation very professional, Thank you

We didn't camp here, we were camping at May Queen. We came by for closer access to the water with our paddle boards. The parking lot near the water, where we parked, looked like it was an overflow parking lot for RV camping. The lake is low and the boat ramp was closed (not sure if it's open on the weekends, we were here on a Monday). Great access to the water, beautiful views. It's across from the dam. Rocky shoreline, if you're going into the cold water you want to be wearing sandals.
