The only thing I was upset about, was nobody was there for us to buy firewood, and we didn't know where to get it at 9pm... Because all the little stores were closed.. we had no idea there is a 24hour firewood vending machine in the lower falls parking (Tahquamenon falls) ... So we drove 40 mins to Newberry, because they had a gas station open until midnight there.. but we didn't see anybody in the little camping office, all weekend we were there! If nobody is going to be there, and y'all are too scared to have the wood unlocked with a money drop box, maybe y'all should get one of them firewood vending machines!!! But, we had a beautiful view, a bathroom was close to us, the lot was big, and I appreciated the picnic table and fire pit!

Went here October 11-15 and absolutely loved it! Was at site 121 in the Rivermouth Pines rustic side. I was right by the vaulted toilet so that made things easy and the drive or walk to the modern side wasn’t bad. Everything was clean and felt safe. The modern bathrooms had handicap accessible showers which I thought was nice. The showers are private which I also like. I never ran out of hot water either and the bathrooms were always clean. Loved that the staff drove through often checking on things and cleaning the bathrooms. The view of the river is amazing. And there are many spots to enjoy the view! Will definitely come again.

Incredibly picturesque campsite, with a slow moving river for kayaking. It can be quiet on the non-RV half of the site. This place has fantastic bathrooms (and showers) if you don't want to use the vaults. Bring bug spray for sure. This is a very family friendly site.

The primitive loop is a GREAT campground. One of the best we’ve stayed in. Our site right along the river and distant from other sites. Most other sites are the same. The showers in the modern loop are there for you but for other needs the immaculately cleaned pit toilets are good. There’s a nice hiking trail off the back of the loop. Lots of kayak and canoe access points along the loop too. A boat launch with access to Lake Superior is across from the entrance to the complex. The modern loop is more traditionally dense and less private but has electricity in each site. Ice is sold at the entrance. The No Generators rule means that it’s one of quietest campgrounds.

Enjoyed a peaceful time at the campground. Met decent people. Toilets weren't bad. Bugs were a bit worse! Bring your netting folks if you want to be outside near after Memorial Day! Nice time!
