Tail of the Dragon Racers Camp

What an amazing place tucked away near the Tail of the Dragon. Istvan is the more welcoming host and hung out all night sharing beer and stories. Don't hesitate to book a space here, the rooms were super clean and comfortable, and if you ever worry about your crash lid...ask for the Hungarian Helmet Safety Check. Istvan and his wife were awesome hosts. I’ve never had a better experience with an Airbnb stay or an out of state stay before. 5mins from the Tail of the Dragon, and within the great smoky national park. It’s beautiful, the setting was peaceful at night. It attracts great company from around, great cabins for just needing a simple place to sleep. You got the parking for your ride (either bike or car)(btw, it does attract some quite exotic cars from time to time). About 30mins from the dam, 2mins from Tapoca, about 5mins from Fontana village. You and a buddy or your significant other will have a good time there. Again, thanks for the welcoming atmosphere Istvan! We’ll be back next year!

This is the best place to stay for any motorcycle or car enthusiast! Istvan is the best host ever! The property has such a nice vibe and I feel at home there! Cabins are super comfortable, shower and bathroom is clean. What really makes the experience is Istvan. He will hang out with you, tell you stories about his racing, and even go ride with you at the Dragon! I will not stay anywhere else except his cabins! Highly recommend.

Istvan is an absolutely amazing individual. He checked in on me when I was late, welcomed me super late at night, had a bonfire, and took time to get to know me. Then he took me out to the Dragon for my first time and showed me around. Super friendly, very welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable! I felt right at home and like I had an instant friend and brother I would ride with any day! His place is a little slice of heaven on earth. It's his passion and dream brought to life and you can tell. It's a place to be proud of and I feel honored to have been welcomed as a guest. I'll definitely be back and I'm bringing anyone I can with me!

Istvan and his wife welcomed us with open arms. The setup is absolutely amazing. And while being remote, is only 5 minutes from the Dragon, and just across the road from Tapocco Restaurant. A fire pit, a big screen to watch the race on, and countless other amenities make for a camaraderie with others, as well as the host himself! Their hospitality and cleanliness is like none other. If Fontana isn’t your thing, this place is. Hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed local to the Dragon. Will book again 100%.

Legendary place to stay for a trip to the tail. Istvan and Lizzy's hospitality is something I haven't seen in a long time and they welcome you like family. The atmosphere is great, it's tucked away from the main road just enough so you don't get woke up by cars, beds are nice, everything is clean, and the hangout area is perfect to kick back with friends. Definitely coming back here!

This place is amazing. Istvan and lizzy are absolutely amazing people. They welcome you like you're family. Place is absolutely spotless, bathrooms included. Beds are insanely comfortable. This is the perfect place to make new friends and share stories and memories. Can't say enough great things about this place. Excited to come back!
