Enjoyed staying here in mid-Oct. Quiet, easy to access, pretty spot near a cliffside. There are two picnic tables with firepits, a couple of large turnouts down the road. Trash recepticles and pit toilets were in good shape. Thank you for leaving it clean!
Beautiful place, not a ton of people around and the bathroom was well maintained. There is a bear proof toilet and plenty of nature.
Cross the small creek down from the wooden sign of Smokey the Bear and you will find the perfect campsite. At night you can hear the small waterfall just upstream.
Nice site. Not very many good places for pitching a tent, except for a really nice area on the other side of the stream that has a picnic table. We made due at the site near the road. Also, the bathroom was fairly clean. Pretty spot, and the stream has a very nice small waterfall. Very relaxing, and uncommon in central New Mexico. Overall an enjoyable place.
This was a very secluded camp ground. We were the only ones there. Almost seems as though it's abandoned but little clues shows that it's not. There is a vault bathroom with new tp rolls and the garbage had new liners in them. There are several campsites to choose from. Some near the road and others you have to take a small hike to for even more secludedness. It is a beautiful area, we saw many dear. At some point there is a running creek but it was very dry when we were there. You take a dirt road to get there but whatever you do, DO NOT take the tribal roads if that's where GPS tells you to go, it's a dead end.
