We really enjoyed the two separate times we stayed at the campground. We stopped in for one night each time. Check in was very simple. The owners are great! It's convenient to I-20, but far enough away that you don't hear road noise. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We'll definitely go back in the summer to take advantage of the river activities. An unexpected perk was the night sky; I don’t think I've seen the stars look more beautiful.

I was just passing through on my motorcycle and decided to stay the night. I camped in a tent along the river. The site was nice and shady, pretty level and away from everyone else. I made reservations online and bought a bundle of firewood, paid for all of it online easy as it could possibly be. I received a phone call from the owner shortly after I arrived telling me I could stay in any of the tent sites I wanted to, just pick out the best spot. Wow, that was nice. I highly recommend this place.

This might be THE best outfitter in North Alabama. The Tallapoosa River is gorgeous and they have pristine bathrooms and showers! Great equipment (Crescent kayaks) and friendly owners.

A new-in-2023 family-owned campground, Tallapoosa River RV and Outdoor Center will provide you with a relaxing, tranquil stay whether it be for one night or for an extended period. 17 RV full hookup sites are available, with two pull thru and 15 back in spots. 13 tent sites and two cabins are also available for your stay. Our site, 17, was a pull thru full hookup 50 amp spot with side grass, a picnic table, and a fire bowl. Firewood available at the office. Upon arrival, we stopped in the office to check in and chat with an owner, who was very pleasant and helpful. The office has a store, four code-entry bathrooms/showers, and a code-entry laundry facility with one each coin-operated washer and dryer. Other amenities include a basketball/pickleball court combo, a playground for the kids, and daily single/double kayak rentals (or bring your own) with shuttle service to the put-in area.

A very quiet and peaceful campground. It’s right off a country road that winds through beautiful farms and open countryside. The campground itself is next to a family farm providing serene and inviting views. The campsites are well maintained with gravel. The camp shower and bathroom house is very clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our site as we sat by the campfire looking out to an open field and, after sunset, up to a sky full of stars. The light pollution is low and the road noise is minimal. I love this place.
