Fantastic Provincial Campground. At my site, overlooking the Chilliwack River I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. rafting tours , fishing, if you blink you will miss something. Camp Hosts are very nice. The bikers and Quadders are quite respectful and courteous. If you love bare bones camping then this is your place.
This campsite is a true gem—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The prices are reasonable, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Waking up to the sound of birds singing is an absolute delight. If you're looking for a serene escape, where you can unwind and connect with nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility and a well-maintained environment.
Simple sites with no hookups. No water on site either so prepare accordingly. Some sites are tighter than others so those with trailers will need a sidekick to back them in. Lots of fishing spots. Nearby FSR trails make it a great spot to go off roading. Pack it in and out campground so you'll have to take your garbage with you. Dog Friendly areas. Also a large grassy area for kids to play.
Lots of room, busy at times especially in the fall for the salmon season. Lots of people fishing but overall perfect spot to stay if you are planning to fish the river.
My only issue with staying here is the sites are really close together. It's a beautiful location, fairly close to town and the river. There are rapids behind one side of the campsite, so definitely not safe for swimming, but it's fun to see the rafters go by. The host is nice and the campground is clean. There are a few outhouses. This is Tamihi East.
