We 26 people went there for 2 nights camping in the tents. At first, i ( in charge of the trip) was so nervous about the group site because i had never been to this camp site. Read the reviews, people complained about water, toilet.... But when we got there, I was so impressed and happy about the whole camp ground. They have water faucets almost everywhere. They have very clean flush toilets with sinks. The host Gabriel and his wife are very friendly and welcome. They patrol the camp site very often. The Navajo lake is 5 min away. 30 min to go the Cedar city if you need to buy supplies or....Starbucks ,lol. Hiking trails are everywhere. Lake water is cool and clean to swim in. I will come back!
My family and I tented/hammocked. Te-ah campground is situated between Bryce Canyon NP and Zion NP in Dixie National Forest. Both National Parks are about an hour drive from the campground. The campground is full of coniferous and poplar/cottonwood trees. Lots of sites have hammock opportunities. The north loop has more trees offering more privacy. The south loop is more open, less trees. The entire campground has three bathrooms: flush toilets and sinks. No soap or sanitizer. No showers. There are many water spigots throughout. My family used it for drinking water as well as dishes. The sites are quite spacious relatively speaking and spaced apart comfortably. Pea gravel roads. No phone service (T Mobile). Duck Creek is about twenty minutes away to the east and offers groceries and gas. Cedar city to the west is about an hour drive but has a Walmart as well as all other amenities. Navajo Lake is a pleasant lake to swim in. There is a trail from the campground that leads to the lake but it is a mile long. I recommend driving- there is a road that is accessible from the main road to the east of the campground that leads to a public parking area next to the lake. Overall we had a great experience in this quiet campground. If traveling through we will be staying here again.
Very nice and well maintained camp ground! camp host were friendly. Beautiful aspen trees and a lot of humming birds!! Wish we could of stayed longer!!
Beautiful place to camp, campsite was very spacious (site 27) we will definitely be back. The trail to the lake has beautiful views of a large meadow with colorful flowers it's so beautiful and peaceful, very windy when we were there but it didn't take anything from enjoying our stay. Host was very nice and she has firewood for sale there ($7) there is no phone signal unless you go up to the village or go really high up the mountain trails.
Great place to camp! Clean, lots of shade trees running water, restrooms. 5 min drive from Navajo Lake
