Customer Feedback:
Temple View Picnic And Camping Area is best suited for those who enjoy rugged terrain and beautiful scenery. While it may not cater to everyone's needs, it's a worthwhile destination for adventurous travelers looking to explore Colorado's natural beauty.
Pretty hard to get there. Especially the last mile, the road was very rough. Many potholes and rocks. It took us 20 minutes to do 1 mile. The spot was nice, but too hot and so many bugs that we left after one day. Nice view and it was nice to have a shaded picnic area with fire pit and trashcan. 3 miles away is a cell tower, but because of the mountains it's hard to get a signal. Sometimes late at night with a booster it worked, but slow
No shade. No water, It's very hot, Dusty, And blood sucking mosquitoes by the thousands. Restrooms are nasty. There's very little escape from the wind. You can find much better places to camp. It's more of a day trip & hike area. Bring lots of water !!
Very nice scenic drive some spots are a little rough and narrow but most vehicles can handle it fine. Seen some great places along the drive for some camping or hiking. Not too many people around so very quiet.
The road to these sites is a tad rough. You won't get most rvs up into those mountains. Many twists and turns that are tight and no bathroom at most sites that being said. It's beautiful, clean and people are respectful.
Go through Eco park and you will find Temple trailhead, which will bring you twisting and turning to the temple view picnic and camping area... lots of trails. If you are a hiker, pack a bag for the day, down below you can see there is access to a river. If you just want to spend a wonderful day with the family, this a perfect spot for BBQ and picnic. They have grills and tables!
