Here’s what our satisfied customers have to say:

  • "We stayed in the double and twin bed cabin with private bathroom and shower. Based on the photos I didn’t expect much but the place was amazing and clean. Clean white bedspreads and towels. Heater built in and a ceiling fan. The cabin was very spacious and they had a cleaning service that could come daily if you needed. Staff were super friendly too. A few small bugs here and there as expected with a cabin."
  • "Spent 5 days in the tent cabins at Colter Bay with family, including 3 young kids. We loved our stay! We appreciated the amenities, the cleanliness of the facility (including electricity and plumbing in the bathrooms), and the quality of the tent cabins. We had quite a bit of rain and had no problems with getting wet and stayed mostly warm at night. We had a group of 9 and reserved 134/136, which are connected by the wood walls (basically a cross with the canvas tents in offsetting corners). The area gave the kids space to play and was a safe environment. We will definitely be back!"

We had never been to Wyoming. Wanted to visit Yellowstone and Teton, limit traveling. Searched and found this location - Colter Bay! Tents (all 600 or so of them) were filled. Cabins had 2 available at ~$400 per night (for 4 people; we were 6 people). Then came across these "Tent - Cabins". These were nice in that you had a kind of hotel + camping feel to it (~$103/night). Used 4 cots + 2 sleeping bags on floor. Stayed 4 nights. General store on site (somewhat limiting and expensive, but something), Office on site, able to buy wood 24x7 (from Office or Cabin Office at night). Laundry on site. Showers on site (had to use vouchers same day - was scolded for coming in the next morning :-(. Bears were around, walked up the main path by the dumpsters. Wolves howled at night. National Park Service (NPS) shot up in the air to scare them off (kinda cool!) Kept cooler + food all in the Bear box. Kept CLEAN camp! Nights got a bit cold, had to light up wood stove maybe around 2 AM and 5 AM; otherwise 70's rest of day. Ice making machine and dish washing station was at the back of the Tent Cabin Office. Didn't eat at restaurant, but was available. Rocky beach on Jackson Lake was nice - cold water though! There was power/lighting to tent-cabins, but no charging outlets (people charged in the bathrooms). WOULD DO IT AGAIN!

Wonderful camping option in GTNP. It’s not luxury, but the be price is right and it’s a lot better than tent camping for most. If you’re like us you don’t have your camping game down to a science this is a great option to get out without sleeping on the ground. You get one large room with a concrete floor and four bunk beds, two top level and two below. There are springs supporting the thin mattress. It is cold at night. We were here in July and nights were in the high 30s, so bring a good sleeping bag.

Stayed 4 nights in a tent cabin. The location was great. Bathrooms were clean. Wash basin to clean dishes. Fresh water to fill water bottles and cook with. Ice machine for water as well. Close to the store, swim beach and the main road to go out on your daily Teton adventures. Stayed up until midnight 6 months ahead of time to book--it was totally worth it!
