The site offers a mix of primitive camping options and basic amenities, making it suitable for both tent campers and RV enthusiasts.
Teton Reservoir BLM Campground is known for its tranquil setting, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, boating, and stargazing. The campground is particularly popular among visitors seeking a peaceful environment, as it offers a sense of remoteness that is hard to find in more developed areas.
- Environment: Teton Reservoir BLM Campground is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, including the Teton Mountains and the reservoir itself. The area is known for its clear skies, making it an excellent location for stargazing. The campground's quiet nature attracts visitors looking to escape from urban noise and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.
- Facilities: While the campground is rustic, it provides basic amenities such as pit toilets, fire pits, and grills. The facilities are well-maintained, with clean restrooms and functional fire pits. Tent sites are available for those looking to experience nature up close, while larger RVs can also find suitable spots. The site is particularly popular among boondocking enthusiasts and solar users, as there are areas without shade that are ideal for this purpose.

One visitor described it as a "hidden quiet spot" that is perfect for those looking to get away from it all. They highlighted the peacefulness of the area and the opportunities for stargazing, though they advised bringing windproof matches due to high winds in the area during storms. Customer Reviews
This hidden quiet spot is old! The fire pits were made out of old rusted misshaped culvert cut and put on end in the soil. Very old rusty grills, some of which are simply rusted out and in disrepair. Some camp spots need to be releveled and reworked. Why 5 stars? Good road to the reservoir, very quiet, remote and relaxing. Just one spot big enough for large campers. Pit toilet very clean and well taken care of. No shade but not necessary in Sept. great for solar users and boondocking.
Gorgeous campground. Be careful of high winds during storms- if I were in a weaker tent it would have been damaged. Bring windproof matches. Great location for stargazing.
Wonderful campsites. Quiet, beautiful, FREE. It can be windy though.
We stay for 2 nights September 2018. Very beautiful and quiet stay. Can get VERY windy.
Be warned that the road leading to this place is currently closed. But I went here last year and it's beautiful.
Old and not maintained. Locals come to shoot. Reservoir almost empty. Clean vault toilet.
