The Bicycle Station is located at 2521 Grave Creek Rd, Eureka, MT 59917, USA. This address places it in a prime location for those traversing the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) and other significant cycling trails. As one satisfied customer noted, it's a "great location for southbound GDMBR riders," strategically positioned "right at the base of the next big climb," which can save riders "12 miles or so from town prior to the mountains." This specific advantage highlights its excellent accessibility for its core clientele – cyclists seeking to optimize their journey.
While primarily a "cycle In" camping area, its accessible location also means it's not entirely isolated. Eureka, a charming town in Lincoln County, Montana, is within reach for supplies and other necessities, as implied by the reviewer's mention of "staying here rather than in Eureka." This balance of being close to town for convenience yet situated on a more direct path to the trails is a key benefit.
The area surrounding Eureka is known for its rugged beauty and extensive network of forest service roads and trails, making it a natural playground for outdoor activities. The "nice gravel road" mentioned in one review indicates that while it's geared towards cyclists, the approach to the campground is manageable, even if it eventually leads to more challenging terrain like "rock piles and then just large rocks" further along the trails. Its setting in northwestern Montana means it's immersed in the scenic grandeur that our state is famous for, with access to areas like the Kootenai National Forest and proximity to the Canadian border, attracting both local and international adventurers.

Lovely spot with great accommodations run by nice people. It’s also a great location for southbound GDMBR riders. I am trying to make it to Whitefish tomorrow, and staying here rather than in Eureka puts me right at the base of the next big climb, so I can get straight to work tomorrow morning and save myself the ~12 miles or so from town prior to the mountains.
Gem of a find. Has everything (thoughtfully designed and stocked bathrooms, showers, kitchen, fridge, lounge space, hut, tent pads, cloths line, WiFi) a cyclist (touring or bike packing) needs and more. A3 string cardboard banjo for the musically inclined (not sure if it's just for display) and special Undercarriage Cream that I couldn't find the price tag and was too timid to ask. A smarter person would've taken the cream and Venmo-ed the money later. Could've really used the cream because the next morning the nice gravel road turned into rock piles and then just large rocks. Cycled 10 more miles in the over 90F heatwave to get to the place and it's worth it.
Was honored to be the inaugural guest for this European-style bike hostel. This is clearly a labor of love, and has all the amenities a touring cyclist or bikepacker could want- sleeping platforms, ample lawn space for camping, showers, full bike repair facilities, and an indoor hangout space with a kitchenette and fridge. Really a thoughtfully put together place that is absolutely worth a stopover if you are riding through the Eureka area. And the owner, Chris is a genuinely nice guy who has worked hard to make a welcoming space for cyclists. Highly recommend!
A great stop for the night while doing the GDMBR. The owners are very nice people who provided a nice little cycling sanctuary. Can stay in one of the 3 structures that have platforms to sleep on or pitch your tent in the yard. Inside is kitchen area is everything you need to cook and a very comfortable couch. WiFi is fast and showers are hot. Bike maintenance/wash is great too!
Awesome spot. Fantastic accommodations for cyclists
